Turn that frown upside down!
Screw the news - just strap on some of your biggest 'phones and drown out that babble with some tasty jams.
I haven't submitted anything in a while, but as always, thanks in advance for the votes and comments!
I know what your thinking... how is this optimistic? Well if you were the lion, you would be optimistic too. He has the chance of an easy meal, who wouldn't be optimistic about that?
Comments are welcome! Cheers!
Here is my first interpretation for "Optimism". I hope it's well received.
From Despair comes Hope
From Death comes Life
From Destruction comes Creation
From Yesterdays Endings come Tomorrows, New Beginnings.
Re: New Beginnings
Re: He's totally gonna make it.
Awesome job Edgar!!!
Re: He Had To Make Room
No one would buy lottery tickets if they weren't at least a little optimistic!
This is great, E
voted for it.

Wow, I didn't realize writing "H"a"h"a" would turn into *giggles* on this forum.

Re: George Washington's got my Back
Quite disturbing. It will get rejected though because it is outside of the printable area.
I wanted to have fun with this weeks theme, as you'll see this week, i like bright colors.... a lot.....
Re: Welcome to The Club
This is so wrong and yet so right. XD
Re: Everything's Better When the Glass is Half Full
Why do I have the fealin I am going to be seeing alot of these...
Re: Overheated Console = Campfire
I wanted to do a design that took a bad situation and made something positive out of it. My first ideas were a little too life-or-death and natural disasters. So I went with something that many have gone through. I saw lots of half-empty-half-full and rain cloud sort of ideas going around so like always I tried to do something a little different. I drew this specifically for this derby. Its not something I've had laying around. I haven't been to sleep yet but I'm about to crash right after I post this. Thanks for checking out my entry!!
Re: Group Hug
Just thought if the world is feeling sad when it watches the news, maybe it could use a hug. Awwwww...

ooo so cute I like it. gmv.
Re: Room for Optimism
I can't help but poke holes in this week's derby topic.
But surely if we were all to make room, we could all be as optimistic as Annie or Pollyanna. There is nothing we can't accomplish when not thinking at all about the reasons why we might not succeed.

I still can't believe you submitted it though.
This is the first nicely done shirt on red I can remember seeing in a long time. Nicely done!
If I was too be attacked by a monster, this is certainly the one i would want it to be.

*giggles* I wish I had realized it might just be a common theme before spending all of yesterday afternoon on it..nonetheless..I'm proud
I'll admit it. I LOLed. Clever work and nice drawing.
So... the guy is painting the wall grayish and the optimist is painting the wall blueish... is my interpretation correct? :p
If so, then why is the dropped paintbrush in blue? xD Sorry if I'm not getting it.
Re: dream pounce
This sleepin' kitty has big dreams.
Re: Candy Rainbow
bright colors and candy, whats not to like?
Re: Tree Love
Description: Even trees can be optimistic about love, especially around the holidays. Although a young pine (maybe a couple centuries old) may know he is out of his league, he can hope. And what is more upbeat than the twinkly cheer of a holiday evergreen, dressed to impress with garland, ornaments, and a star on top?
Ok, my description is corny, but... so is this week's theme ;)
