This is so cute! What an optimistic view on global warming. xD At least from my perspective.

Re: Overheated Console = Campfire

The only thing that would have improved it would have been to make the Red Ring of Death actually red. But that also would not have been in keeping with the lighting effects. Nevertheless, you still got the exact problem across.

The background on your thumbnail doesn't match the shirt - woot has rejected shirts for this in the past.

Re: Going Where the Grass is Greener

To me being optimistic means you believe that somewhere, sometime or some way things will always get better. People use the "grass is greener" phrase in a short of negative way to tell you to be happy with what you have, like you shouldn't look beyond what's right there. But I think someone who believes the grass will be greener somewhere else is really just an eternal optimist, always looking for the best.

Things are literally looking up for this guy as he goes to find something a bit sunnier than what he's got. It was a total dark, rainy day where I was when this theme was announced and I was wishing I could do this too.

Given that "Easy v. Optimism" isn't a court case regarding the rights of homosexuals to marry, I'd say there will be a little less furor.

But seriously, less stick figures, please. Woot's already an artistic joke without that being the direction it takes.

Too bad it isn't. xD

See, it's my opinion that shirt.woot isn't MADE to be an artistic website. It's made to be a ha, funny website, where occasionally very awesome art shirts make it because they are too awesome. I came to this revelation when Pony Up sold less than Terrible Mistake. Seriously ouch.

Anyway, this wasn't related to any of the politics or anything, I just felt like stick figures were the best way to portray this idea. I feel like the shirt would not have been as amusing if they were real people.

I love shirts that are simple and cute. xD It took me a while to understand while the smilies were on top, but then I realized it was like... measurements. *giggles*. I like the happy face punching out the sad face - the best part, obviously. xD

It was red in my concept but I didn't go with red for a couple of reasons. I wanted the ring to be part of the joke but not the focus point of the design. Since everything is colored yellow, that one red spot really demands too much attention. Also, I could use that 6th color for some back lighting instead. Better or worse, this is what I preferred and went with. Thanks for the critique though. Hopefully you still like it enough anyway

I was unaware that they were Asian myself. And if they are or aren't or were or might be fully, partially, or barely Asian, it makes zero difference to me. No my friend its not a matter of "of course they are Asian" its a matter of "of course they are optimistic"

I know what roe v. wade is about. It'd simply be unlikely to have two court cases allowing the right to legal abortions. I figured it'd make more sense to reference another controversial stance

I can see the whole story from this, how the other pigeons laughed, how he thought he'd never fly again....

I bet he ends up making tons of money off of other flightless animals, and shares the joy of height with them all!

I'm picky, I just don't always express it
