Re: Group Hug
I hope this one wins, I love it.
This is so cute! What an optimistic view on global warming. xD At least from my perspective.
Re: Overheated Console = Campfire
The only thing that would have improved it would have been to make the Red Ring of Death actually red. But that also would not have been in keeping with the lighting effects. Nevertheless, you still got the exact problem across.

Wh-wh-wh-what?!?! What the hell is that supposed to mean? What does that have to do with anything?
sooooo fancy
Re: make lemonade with lemons
The background on your thumbnail doesn't match the shirt - woot has rejected shirts for this in the past.
Re: Optimistic Courtship
Voted for this. It's so adorable. I would definitely buy it.
Re: Easy Optimism
Love it... curious to see if it gets flamed as badly as row vs. wade... hmm.
Re: Optimistic I'll Make You Cry
I'm OPTIMISTIC that this will sell out easily.
Re: Going Where the Grass is Greener
To me being optimistic means you believe that somewhere, sometime or some way things will always get better. People use the "grass is greener" phrase in a short of negative way to tell you to be happy with what you have, like you shouldn't look beyond what's right there. But I think someone who believes the grass will be greener somewhere else is really just an eternal optimist, always looking for the best. Things are literally looking up for this guy as he goes to find something a bit sunnier than what he's got. It was a total dark, rainy day where I was when this theme was announced and I was wishing I could do this too.
This is actually pretty darn cute.
Re: Bungee Jumping Pucker Always Bounces Back For More
I am OPTIMISTIC that woot will someday find a way to make these illegal

I have it fixed in case they do. Thanks
I wish it was that easy some days, both for myself, and others ;)
Re: Banjo of Consternation
You must be pretty OPTIMISTIC about woot ignoring this shirt
Re: Her Wishes Will Be Fulfilled
she waits and is optimistic that the stars will at last fill her every wish and desire. here's the closeup:

Given that "Easy v. Optimism" isn't a court case regarding the rights of homosexuals to marry, I'd say there will be a little less furor. But seriously, less stick figures, please. Woot's already an artistic joke without that being the direction it takes.

Too bad it isn't. xD See, it's my opinion that shirt.woot isn't MADE to be an artistic website. It's made to be a ha, funny website, where occasionally very awesome art shirts make it because they are too awesome. I came to this revelation when Pony Up sold less than Terrible Mistake. Seriously ouch. Anyway, this wasn't related to any of the politics or anything, I just felt like stick figures were the best way to portray this idea. I feel like the shirt would not have been as amusing if they were real people.
I love this so much!!! It is very high on the creativity scale and looks great too! GMV *:-)
Re: The Counter-Productive Optimist
Goodness, so cute! I see your comments everywhere but never your entries. :D I love this!
Oeberon wrote:And it is off topic. Without the title, there is not the slightest hint of the derby theme.
I think any shirt printed on yellow fits this theme.
Re: Optimist Prime
Nothing's more optimistic than a winking, heel-clicking, thumb-upping robot! Thanks so much for your vote and remember, "Freedom is the right of all sentient wooters!"
Re: Welcome to The Club
This is my favorite entry ever. I love it.
FAVORITE. oh so cute. =]
Re: Green Death Optimism
I'm confused. How is this optimism? It's just skulls lined up on a shirt.
very nice Jaden! the design has a great flow, and I love the stars in the hair.
Re: Half Full Wins
I love shirts that are simple and cute. xD It took me a while to understand while the smilies were on top, but then I realized it was like... measurements. *giggles*. I like the happy face punching out the sad face - the best part, obviously. xD
umm, Adder, I think you are mistaken about what Roe vs Wade is about. L O L. I know you know what it is about, but it came out wrong.

Obvious, Yes. Simple, Yes. Abundant, Yes. Is mine the best, Yes! How's that for optimism? *giggles*!! just havin some fun. Cheers to all you great artists out there. I envy your skills.

The squirrel is either very optimistic or very dumb :D I prefer to believe the first. CLICK FOR FULL IMAGE

It was red in my concept but I didn't go with red for a couple of reasons. I wanted the ring to be part of the joke but not the focus point of the design. Since everything is colored yellow, that one red spot really demands too much attention. Also, I could use that 6th color for some back lighting instead. Better or worse, this is what I preferred and went with. Thanks for the critique though. Hopefully you still like it enough anyway I was unaware that they were Asian myself. And if they are or aren't or were or might be fully, partially, or barely Asian, it makes zero difference to me. No my friend its not a matter of "of course they are Asian" its a matter of "of course they are optimistic"

I know what roe v. wade is about. It'd simply be unlikely to have two court cases allowing the right to legal abortions. I figured it'd make more sense to reference another controversial stance
Re: Chip and a Chair
This came out great sir. I love the expressions and the detail.
I posted this in the main derby thread: Not sure if you saw it or came up with the idea on your own (it was one of the first things I thought of, so I wouldn't doubt it) but I'm glad someone took a shot at it.

Beautiful artwork!

llo..... oh man.... no explination needed.
pretty boss reaper. I feel the optimism.
Re: Nothing's Keepin' Me Down
I can see the whole story from this, how the other pigeons laughed, how he thought he'd never fly again.... I bet he ends up making tons of money off of other flightless animals, and shares the joy of height with them all!
Re: I'll be fine with my trusty umbrella!
I really like the cartoon effect! And tell me if you're able, where did you get the comp for that shirt? I love the look of it but I can't seem to find anything like it on the forums. Thanks!

I didn't see your post, but great minds think alike! Thanks for the props!
