Bootsx2, somehow you've managed to add your whimsical charm to this as well. Bravo! Also, I like the idea... While I think many designs here are well done, and as an art exercise it's awesome... I have to think about what I would wear on a shirt and this is something I would. I would love a lighter color too if possible. If not, you gmv either way as I love it <3. Rock on Ms DoubleBoots!

It's nice, but blue on black means that the lineart doesn't really stand out that well.

We tried a lot of different color combinations for this, but ultimately decided that something more subtle would be more effective. Maybe it would be nice if it were a bit flashier, but I think that this way it makes a more wearable shirt (at least for me).

My understanding on copyrights was always that it's not a huge deal unless you're competing with their business. For example, if you started printing Mickey Mouse t-shirts, you'd get a call from a lawyer REAL quick, cuz Disney makes their own shirts. But since the Etch-A-Sketch company (?) doesn't produce clothing, I doubt they'd make a huge fuss out of it. After all, if they cared about making shirts, they'd be doing it already.

Yea, this does work very well. I dig the simplicity of the idea and the complexity of the execution. I would certainly pick one of these up.

I'm not sure what makes this similar to the butterfly image, other than the fact that both have an upward flow. The main point of this image was the design elements of a bird that is composed of other birds, so that it creates an appealing composite image. I feel that dismissing the image just because it contains a bird is a bit unfair.
