Whew! I'm happy to learn that my hometown Perkins was/is an anomaly and not indicative of the entire chain!
Or Poofs is.
Here I Hops are all different. The one near me and the one near mom are clean and good.
You can't just see one and stop.
I wonder if there are any clean TGIF's anywhere?
We use to like them until I finally got so disgusted with the cleanliness that we just stopped going.
One in the city smelled like puke. We walked out and came home to eat.
The one near us...the guy was setting the table, and I thought he was clearing it off! The bucket he was taking stuff out of had dirty water in the bottom. UGH
I don't care how good their pot stickers were, that was the end.
But the chain is still around and that was over 15 years ago, maybe they cleaned up their act???
Gripe of the day...because we all know you are wondering what it would be that I griped about today....
Mom called to tell me my uncle is in the hospital now (yes the uncle that goes with my Godmother. Yes he is my Godfather, but he is grumpy, where she was really nice.
Career navy man. Kept thinking that us kids should listen to him like the men under him in the navy. It never worked and he never understood why.)
So she tells me she wanted to go see him. But she thinks he is in intensive care, which has limited visiting hours.
Rusty has school tonight, so I get up and do his early walk, so that I can go to mom.
Because I am a fool, I don't sleep well thinking i have to get up early.
The dog wakes up and it is beautiful, so I take him out for a morning walk (something I haven't been doing in the freezing cold)
No poop. Doesn't he understand the reason for the walk yet???/
Did get to play with a dog for just a few minutes...better than nothing.
Come home, go back to sleep. keep waking up to see what time it is. Get up again, call mom and find out....she really doesn't want to go. I mean, she is making all sorts of excuses on how we can't get there in time.
So, i ruined a night of sleep for nothing!
She does keep saying how when my stepfather was dying, her brother never came to the hospital.
If you actually read this, you should know, there will be a quiz!
