Yes, I watched a lot of Bonanza growing up.

Early in the show's history, the thrice widowed Ben Cartwright, recalls each wife in flashback episodes. A recurring situation (which also occurs in the TV western The Big Valley), was that every time one of the Cartwrights became seriously involved with a woman, she died from a malady, was slain, or left with someone else.

Well Duh! You had to keep those women watchers hopes up that it could be them!!!! Little Joe was so cute! Adam so dark & mysterious. Hoss.... so lovable.

On this land we put our brand, Cartwright is the name, fortune smiled, the day we filed the Ponderosa claim.
Here in the West, we're livin' the best, Bonanza, if anyone fights any one of us, he's go a fight with me, Bonanza.

Hoss and Joe and Adam know every rock and pine, no one works, fights, or eats, like those boys of mine. Here we stand in the middle of a grand Bonanza.
With a gun and a rope and a hatful of hope, we planted our family tree, we got hold of a potful of gold, Bonanza.

With a houseful of friends where the rainbow ends, how rich can a fellow be?
On this land we put our brand, Cartwright is the name, fortune smiled, the day we filed the Ponderosa claim. Here in the west we're livin' the best Bonanza.

With the friendliest, fightingist, loving band, that ever set foot in the promised land, and we're happier than them all.
That's why we call it Bonanza...Bonanza...Bonanza...

The video of them actually singing this is... scary... comical... scary mostly.

Don't see that in this very long list but he was in Shirley Temple's Storybook.

My image of him as a dark, mysterious man just went down a couple notches.

Some great shows in that list though.

As told in flashback, life with Ben must have been tough because none of his wives survived it. Adam was born in New England and his mother was Elizabeth, who died in childbirth. Hoss' mother Inger was killed by Indians. She was Scandinavian and Hoss means "good luck" in Norwegian. Little Joe's mother, Marie, was a woman Ben met in New Orleans and she died from a fall from a horse.

Adam's Mother
"Elizabeth, My Love" 5/27/1961
Geraldine Brooks as Elizabeth Stoddard

Hoss' Mother
"Inger, My Love" 4/15/1962
Inga Swenson as Inger Borgstrom

Little Joe's Mother
"Marie, My Love" 2/10/1963
Felicia Farr as Marie DeMarigny

Went to see Inkheart today. Great movie.
Dustfinger was excellent, as was the old auntie. One of the thugs was quite good, too.

really, every character was quite well done, and the story hung together great, even though it came from a book, and we all know how bad that can turn out (A Series of Unfortunate Events, anyone?).

It's supposed to start snowing around 2 a.m. with maybe three inches by morning. Then it's supposed to turn into a wintry mix -- sleet and freezing rain (this is going to be the nasty part). Then it's supposed to turn back into snow Tues. evening, with a total of about six inches. But if we get that layer of ice in between the snow, I'm staying inside until at least Thursday.

Question. In IE, there's a bar (task bar?) that was just above the bottom bar. It would say "Done" or "Transferring something or other." I no longer have that bar. Shouldn't I?

Hubby came home late, so just finished cleaning up dinner.
Gotta walk the puppy.
See you soon.
Wish me luck on getting a poop out of him. who knows, he was just in the yard, maybe the poop is hiding in the dark.

//sigh

Well I decided if I walk him a mile or so and he doesn't poop, it is his problem.
Yeah right.
A nice soft poo on the rug.
Somehow that won't be his problem for long!

It's called the Status Bar. Go to view Toolbars and select it again. It's on the Tools menu on IE7.

If he hasn't poo'd on your floors yet then I don't think he will unless it's a horrible emergency or he's sick. He's a good doggie.
