Re: 1928. The birth of an icon.

Fantastic concept, BEAUTIFUL art, and I'm a Disney freak. This is one of those shirts that makes me want to de-vote a lot of my current votes. I simply MUST have this.

byrbwr: Thanks, glad I have your vote!

Potlid: There's heavy competition for sure, and many fantastic shirts in this derby. I'd love to see this make to four, but it's the votes that will make it happen! I'm honored you broke your one vote rule :P

snwsk8rdr3: Thanks, man. It quite literally took me almost all day to do.

People do get a bit elitest here don't they.

It is not like as if this entry is actually going to win, there is no real threat to your entries.

This is so great. I would love to wear this shirt and give that explanation.

The coin positioning is a huge clue, but the mouse is the giveaway. Awesome idea!

This is cool! I like the art and concept.

I do hope the platypus makes more appearances here. Note to self, platypus playing Zelda on old school Nintendo = paycheck.

Seriously, I think this one's great!!!

Cool concept, the nest might look a little better if the USB wire ends were more random. Right now the nest looks pretty linear.

I was not familiar with Assateague Isle before I saw this entry. Thanks, I have added to my Geography knowledge.

I agree the horses should have more of a focus.

Cwyq wrote:Nice design, but I'm not feeling the face of the male lion (maybe more "chin" and less curve in the "bridge of the nose"?). The mane could flow more, too.

Thanks, I appreciate your critique. If I ever sub it elsewhere I'll attempt to adjust it.

Re: Beginning

I'm trying to understand the cord end connections. They look different, but I'm thinking they should be the same. I don't see why they would be connecting to each other, they would both be connecting/disconnecting to a life source.

Because those other chickens smell funny! But mostly just to get to the other side and start his journey... away from the other chickens.

epii wrote:I really want to like this--I do love the intensity of the colors and the concept--but the swirly lines coming off the side really kill it for me. To me, it takes away from the feeling of impact you should expect from two massive bodies colliding. Swirls remind me of leisurely floating, not violent collision.
Just my thoughts.

That's what I was getting at with my initial comments on the design, up above.

Keep climbing, baby! My wittle sister's going on her senior trip to Disneyworld this February. Would be a great shirt to wear there. Plus, I'm going to the Disney college program next year, so....I want one, too.

My dopplegangers are blank-boxed trolls. Seki's is not.

Also, let us not forget forum dynamics. There are explanations for why someone would make a fake Adder account. If someone really wanted to be Sekiyoku that badly, they could just register Ramyb.

And there's also that little spurt earlier re: Ramy and Seki's questionable convention ethics. I feel there is plenty reason enough to be inquisitive.

sekiyoku wrote:No offense, but if I made an extra account for one (useless) extra vote, why the hell would I make it almost the exact same name as my account AND also comment on my own picture? That makes absolutely no sense, and I felt like he was being obnoxious (and dumb) for suggesting that.

I'm glad you think it's a cool design though.

You know, if you go back back and check the voting number for some of the previous derbies, sometimes it is only a very small handful of votes (less than 10)that does make the difference between being printed as a third place or not being printed at all. So let's not consider a vote useless.

So you get your amusement from denigrating other people and proving how you need to spew negativity in order to feel self-actualized. Try getting a life. Or some therapy. Any way you slice it, it's entirely pathetic that you can't enjoy your life without trying to make someone else unhappy. Perhaps you should do some growing up before you release your fingers on someone else.
