Re: Gonna Be Big in Japan
Awesome shirt! Sorry it's not fogging. Weird and frustrating, huh?
Re: 1928. The birth of an icon.
Traditionally, I am a Tigger fan. But I LOVE this and would own it since it relates so well to how he got the idea.
This reminds me of my favorite derby entry of all time

thanks carlover323 and bootsboots.
Re: The Bad Egg
great illo, Hector looks quite menacing!
I'm most impressed by the distressed look given to the design and that you've managed to make it so appealing without using much detail and limited colors. I could see this breaking some records...
This is my favorite shirt in the derby. If you make it back in the fog I'll most certainly by it. SO many of the shirts here are just not very wearable and seem more like they belong on a webcomic than a design contest. Your design is a breath of fresh air to worn out contest. Great work.
Hah, nice. I know >_ can easily be found on the keyboard though, so we'll see how it goes.
I really like how you've interpreted Revelation in your design. It looks like there is a scroll on one end but I don't see the other half of it... Is this intentional? Either way I think it's a sweet shirt and could even spark some evangenlizing

Good idea, I have it going down to hint at roots and the sun over the wearer's shoulder. If you were looking at the wearer-of-this-shirt in the mid-morning the light would come down over the shoulder from the east (depending on which way they were standing) and cast the shadow over the shoulder, down their body. Thanks for the input, I'll see how casting upward looks at some point~

::gasp!::
Why would it get rejected? There aren't any gradients! =P
kylemittskus wrote:What is this the beginning of?
A brush-fire, maybe. The exchange of electrons, certainly. The entry title "It was a dark and stormy night..." is the opening to Edward George Earle Lytton Bulwer-Lytton, 1st Baron Lytton's (has there ever been a sillier name?) 1830 novel Paul Clifford. The line was made increasingly famous by Shulz as Snoopy repeatedly begins his perpetually-beginning novel in the same way. But all that's all available for digestion on Wikipedia. Really, I just wanted to draw some lighting. Lightning is cool... it's all bright and stuff.
Re: Birth of the Moon
Amazing design, I just think it would look stronger on navy. This on black just seems like a science-kid shirt to me :P

::hands him a bullet:: here... do something constructive with that. It'll be far more useful than trying to figure out what atrocities are happening with this entry.
um... what? *rejected*

Shhhh... I was trying to sound deep and artistic. Don't out me.
