Interesting that this reply was left by "zenmaster84" but the shirt was submitted by "lxa". Got a couple extra accounts to vote for your own shirts, hmm?

Woot usually immediately rejects anything with sexual content. The title alone would be enough here. Also, how is this rewriting history exactly?

Version 2, with "One Small Step for Mon" text is available!

Sort of. These are flags of the G8 nations if there had been no revolutions. The U.S. and Canada would be part of the British Empire. The King of France was based in the the flag of Paris was used to designate the Kingdom of France. Next is the Kingdom of Italy then a Naval ensign of old Japan, followed by old German and Russian flags.

I think this was a really clever idea and took much research.
Excellent. GMV.

Yeah, it's probably not all that incidental, but it was suggested, and it was an easy change. We'll see what happens.

Not history.

Also, while hilarious, a little too crude.

This shirt is hilarious enough for me to vote for even though it doesn't fit the derby.

Things written in the bible can be considered history regardless of whether or not you believe they actually happened (I don't). Pretty sure this is a legit, albeit very twisted, design.

ok, so if he just looked at a photo as reference and reproduced it with his own hand, this doesnt count? additionally, I doubt Einstein had a point on his forehead. I wonder how many awesome shirts dont exist because of splitting hairs.

This is my first try on shirt derby. I spent 6 hours on this, it's almost 3am now and my ps file is a mess. I know I might get rejected because of this but at least I'll earn a reject stamp for all the effort. Hopefully my baby ps skill will slowly grow~

Re: Vincent's Alternative

The reactions to this shirt are making me better understand why cheesy and terrible shirts always seem to win. If it is as it seems and a large number of you aren't familiar enough with art history to recognize Van Gogh or at least his style of art (which isn't obscure by any stretch of the imagination) then I shouldn't be so shocked by what so often wins in the derbies. With that being said, I am pretty freaking ecstatic that this is in the fog and hope that I get to wear it soon.

From my understanding, the rule applies for those in Israel only.

My argument:
You can open "the Library of Congress" website, and search for Einstein image there. I found there were 82 image results for einstein (some may refer to different kind of einstein). These images were copyrighted to different ppl or free for publication.

This one
http://lcweb2.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/r?pp/PPALL:@field(DOCID+@lit(2008677089))
Belongs to Philippe Halsman

This one
http://lcweb2.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/r?pp/PPALL:@field(DOCID+@lit(92519653))
Copyright by Art of the World of Tomorrow.

This one
http://lcweb2.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/r?pp/PPALL:@field(DOCID+@lit(2004672481))
is "No known copyright restriction"

This one
http://lcweb2.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/r?pp/PPALL:@field(DOCID+@lit(2004671908))
comes with a "No known restrictions on publication. No renewal in Copyright office" note

These examples imply that the images of Einstein can be copyrighted by different parties. I believe this will apply for those in USA.

My submission was based on the sketch that I have done sometime ago.
