Sadly, we, who live in Texas, must pay the 8.25% sales tax, putting the shirts at 10.83$, which is a lot closer to 11$ than 10$.

The alternate history is that Da Vinci actually uses the ideas he comes up with to battle the forces of evil. This is probably the hardest design I've done in a long time. There was about three different versions before this final one.

I highly disagree with this rejection. I don't think that this is nearly similar enough to the other shirt to be disqualified... granted, it's an extremely similar idea, but it's executed entirely differently.

Besides, they don't have tiny Chobits chibis sinking lifelessly from the wreckage!

I wish they'd "unreject" this one... wouldn't be the first time, although I know they're not fans of doing it...

So why does this one get the boot for "celeb likeness", but the one with Mount Rushmore does not? Why are people like Einstein, Ghandi, and Freud allowed then? They're not celebrities, yet none are political figures (except Ghandi). Why is the shirt with Planet of the Apes, or HR Puffinstuff allowed when this one is not? This contest needs some consistency with rejections.

Seriously though, I have no idea about these issues. I just find that the arguments against Obama look like wild conspiracy theories. I'm saying this without bias, as I pay almost zero attention to American politics. Heck, I don't even pay much attention to Canadian politics (Canada is, of course, where I live).

I heard it on both Fox News & CNN, though arguably less covered on CNN. howver, if it's a conspiracy theory... why not just deliver the document and put the squash on it. McCain did.

Good grief man. You superimposed an image of some Birth Control pills over the image of baby Jesus and then Live Traced it. I think that is what got you the "Paaaaaancakes" comment. Especially after what went down today with the "Dirty job" shirt.

I think Kenney would love that, actually. As long as the puckers proliferate, it doesn't matter if they are being celebrated or maimed in horrific fashion.

I agree that this should be at least a little bigger. If you're worried that it'll be too feminine and won't appeal to men, you should've made it less feminine. (replacing the heels w/ other footwear might have done the trick)

If the issue is "Not my art" it should say "Not your art". Yet Vincent's Alternative remains in the fog. And I don't question it, it is a masterful recombination of at least four Van Gogh pieces plus eyepatch. Will Einstein and his Mona have to go too?

I worked and reworked the trace of the original for ages until it got to the right level of abstraction, took apart and rebuilt more than 1/3 of the image before adding the pills. All colors were changed even from the base tracing, let alone the reference image.

I wanted the most recognizable iconic image of Mary for a very specific reason. It is a satire piece. It does not show nor hint at anything gruesome, violent, grotesque or even insulting.
