Re: Hot Chocolate with Marshpuckermallows!

I was so impressed that you expanded your pucker palette. I've never seen them in white before.

I got the first 2 - the Abominable Snowman from Rudolph and Frosty - but who is the third?

Non-violent? Watching your opponent melt to death?

I am so sad this came out of the fog

Tears, I am too. :'( but I do think I have some worthy opponents (I definitely like Cho's design a lot!!!!). I'm just proud that it got so far! Maybe there's a little hope for it yet, I don't know. It's too early to say.

Re: Stacking Bunnies~

The idea of stacking bunnies like a snowman made me giggle, though - the lemony-yellow color of the shirt throws me.
However, I do understand your wish to avoid the ever-present trap of 'baby blue'.

Why "Star Wars" of course...

Re: Assassin

I like this idea, I just feel it's very awkwardly placed... It's going to fall on the belly of some, and weirdly under the turnip on others.

Can't believe this dropped from the fog. Best drawn shirt out there can't get votes because it doesn't have a cartoon barn animal.

lokklyn wrote:I just use a paintbrush and start with a really big canvas.
While I can use Illustrator, I choose not to because it personally takes me longer, and is more limiting.

Sometimes I use Painter instead (which is my program of choice). I've actually only been using Photoshop a lot in the past three months since I started working as a texture artist. Before that it was Painter all the way.

well as a beginner I want to know if there's a standard way to draw also. I don't have a tablet, so I find it easier to just scan my drawing and use a path tool to trace it in photoshop. Am I more or less doing it the right way..?

your snowman is in the fog again, I guess these coming two days will be very long for you haha.

Hehe I think I just put this back in the fog. After I voted the count changed to '?'

That means this one and "Assassin" are nearly tied for the moment

EDIT: Well I guess I took so long reading the comments that my vote might not have been the one to put it over again. But still it's nice to think I helped!

Hmm, if it's in competition for fourth place I guess I won't be terrible heartbroken come Wednesday. Thank you for to everyone supporting my design!

If you don't have a tablet, it's DEFINITELY going to be easier for you to use a path tool; vector stuff can be done fine with a mouse, but trying to do anything with the brush tool will be very slow without one. you're probably going about it the best way without a tablet.

If you like to draw on the computer with any frequency (not just for shirt designs!), I recommend investing a little in a Wacom tablet. Their smallest one (Bamboo?) runs around $60-100 (you can find it for sale on Amazon and non-Wacom sites).

Re: Window On Winter

I love this design. The use of the silhouette plus the winter colors of the outdoors then the reflection of the winter colors in the cat's eyes is just really cool. Haven't seen this sort of combo. Very nice.

Re: Should Have Parked it Inside

I think the snow scraper is not as recognizable as it should be - it almost kind of looks like a gun at first... from far away, to a person with bad eyesight, in poor lighting.

Meek and polite, fondle the what?.

Only those who have purchased an item from woot, or shirt.woot, or wine.woot, or sellout.woot can vote. after you buy something, you will see a button that says "I'd want one" next to each design. click it to vote. you can vote for as many different designs as you want. Like, for example, the design below in my signature. :^D
