Re: Icarus

I've seen several Icarus shirts on this site at one time or another but this is the only one I've given a vote. I think this is terrific.

Re: GRIFFIN IN FLIGHT

I love the look of this griffin! The simplicity of putting it on white is nice but I'd prefer the pop of having it on color. Any chance of a more colorful version?

The "woodcut" feel of the art seems SO appropriate to the theme! I really enjoy the look of this & would love to wear it!

This is very nicely drawn, and quite subtle too. GMV most definitely.

This rocks. You're pretty dang close to "the woot style", which is difficult to do. I still can't find it consistently. Great color choice, as well. Keep it up, and good luck to you this week!

Wow this shirt is amazing! In fact I love all your designs so far, Sekiyoku! I guess I'm just really into fantasy, sci-fi, and cool-looking shirts. I'm definitely voting for this and buying this if it wins.

Oh and don't listen to byrbyrbyr (or whatever), keep up the good work!

Re: Zeus Extincts a Dinosaur.

Yours are the designs I love to hate. I don't mean that in a bad way. It just amazes me how you can do so well with such seemingly simple designs. People don't understand how difficult it can be to be a cartoonist. When you think about it. You have to reduce complex things down to their simplest most recognizable features, while at the same time conveying your message. I hope everyone appreciates what you do. Kudos, sir, on your ability to reduce down visual complexities into a nice, easily digestable concentrate form that all can enjoy! Good Luck this week.

Hard to see the design. It's not to late to submit an alternate version on another color shirt and have it do very well.

NO, ITS NOT EXACT, BUT CONCEPT WAS HERS FIRST

It's kind of funny that, for the longest time I thought you were clever though a bit mean. I realize now, though, that you don't really even have that bit of clever going for you.

The creature Cerberus is an ancient, ancient myth. It is generally portrayed as quite monstrous, quite often with a serpent's tail. Fable pretty accurately drew that, with a slight twist of it also being a beast that likes to catch a tennis bаll.

Now I have had golden retrievers since I was a little boy, way, way back in the 1960s. Every one I have owned or known has had a love affair with the tennis bаll.

Our original concept was that that Jupiter, or Zeus, or whichever god it was that created Cerberus just couldn't get it right, and every one he made was a really cute, happy, playful dog (and 1 cat) who couldn't guard its own bowl of food. The design had Jupiter with his head in his hands surrounded by all those failures.

The design was too busy, and we tightened it up to one single cute retriever-type dog which had a tennis bаll in its mouth. It is not at all a scary-looking beast, unlike Fable's design, but really quite a cute dog, ready to play.

Your suggestion that Fable somehow owns the concept of three headed dogs with tennis bаlls is laughable. Get a life, and stop harassing my daughter. This comment is just ugly, and you ought to be embarrassed:

They are very different in style, concept, intent, and mood. I vastly prefer the sketchy look of Laura's drawing to Fable's design. Your opinion is unsupported by anything other than that you don't like it.

I know you got what you were going for because of how disgusted and pissed off you've made me. Congratulations, ugliness rules yet again in the woot derby comments. well done, now go find someone else's design to soil with your attention.

Re: Pandora's Cookie Jar

So I haven't done a derby in a month. Figured it was time to get back to it. I was late looking up the theme. I was late coming up with an idea and a sketch. And here's the final version 8 hours late but at least its here. The demons weren't intended to look like something from ICO but they sort of do but that's ok. Hope you all dig it.
