Re: That Something You Don't See Everyday
Very amusing. For some reason it reminds me of the Red Bull commercials. I love how perplexed the old man looks. :D

haha, that is awesome!
Re: Cerberus 1 was a kitten
Nice work Laura!

This is a very fluid design. Very nice. I love how Arthur is (accurately) portrayed as an older gentleman. (And for you two asking for other K.A. shirts, I tried my hand at one. Might not be your taste, though. :S)
Very cute idea. The placement seems high to me.
oops! double post
skirochester wrote:thanks for taking the time to explain your technique! I'm familiar with both programs and it all makes sense. Just have to try it out for myself
Awesome, glad it made sense!
Irrelevant wrote:I abandoned my original entry when I realized what this could have been at work today. The invisible man, as a kid, getting out there and trying to make friends. I suppose it's how most of us felt at some point in our younger days...invisble, awkward and just hoping to be noticed. Anyways, I don't suppose it'll get many votes, but I really like how it came out.
I hate to get all geeky/technical, but I'm pretty sure an invisible object wouldn't have a shadow.
So so good. I'd be tempted to order more than one of these. Hey, that should mean that I'd get more votes! Good Luck!
Re: Mythology-Busters
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Very few designs make me laugh like this these days. Well done!
Re: NEPTUNA
Neptuna.... just, well, just because.
ramyb wrote:Resubbed with much larger toning, hopefully it will be easily printable now, and if you liked the design, I'd really appreciate your vote again It's never too late to try (again), right? what would woot do if both versions end up in the fog?
Does anyone else see that hairstyle and think "He's gone Super-Saiyan!" ?
grayehound wrote:what would woot do if both versions end up in the fog?
Nothing, cause they rejected it due to a printability issue on the women's and kids' sizes.
...dag-nab-it

I like it.
ahuhu I love the oddity. GMV
ferfong wrote:I rmeember this story from Big Bird goes to Japan, I think! :D It's a very cute shirt, and I totally appreciate the non-centered placement; woot sells way too many centered shirts for my tastes! Hope you continue to submit entries here!
thank you for your comment I don't know if they have a similar myth in Japan, but I know they have a myth about rabbits pounding mochi on the moon... now looking back maybe I should've made that instead. A bunch of rabbit are surely more happy than a lone girl on the moon.

Shame, this was definitely worth the $1000 prize.

That's Icarus.
Why doesn't this have more votes? It's a fantastic design (and it's on white - there are too few good white Woot shirts out there)
Re: Kitsune
Not a fan of this one, kinda has the same 'feel' as a lot of your other designs. I'd like to see something a little more original win these derbies.
Re: A is for Atlas RESUB
Your cutesy style doesn't fit the idea. All your stuff is starting to look the same to me.
Can you post a large version of this one too?
Re: Kappa (River Imps)
This reminds me of wood blocking. It's great. I think it's ridiculous that my joke of a Kappa entry is ahead of this. You put some work into this and it definitely shows. For what it's worth, GMV.

Oh please do! Makes me feel good to know my 'cartoons' are that eye pleasing. ;)
Re: [url=http://shirt.woot.com/Derby/Entry.aspx?id=26946]Big
You should resub it as Zeus- it would be cool
Jigsaw13 wrote:Can you post a large version of this one too?
Sure, I had posted one but realized that I accidentally posted the wrong version, I'm going to update with the correct one (with the new tones) in a few minutes (as soon as I can get photoshop running again, it's giving me problems right now)
*giggle* Love it! GMV

I voted before and voted again. Best of luck getting back to the fog.
Re: One Eyed One Horned Flying...
Awww, rejected? I seriously loved this when i saw it! It was such a unique and creative idea. I mean i get tired of seeing zeus 50 times. ahuhu. Definitely save it for a future derby!

This reminds me of one of those really super old Hero's Quest games. haha. You had to fight a house with a giant monster chicken in it with the legs sticking out.

Thanks, your entry is not a joke and is very representative of today's depiction of Kappa. It is cute and cute often seems to do well here. I don't really draw cute and in fact when I drew these guys I thought, "Man they are kinda ugly, but I like them." I have to remember that the mass voters might not like something or don't see it as a good shirt no matter how "great" it is. That is the way the cookie crumbles. And it is funny that you made the anus reference; I was too scared to mention that or the cucumber. :c)
Re: Kappa's first lantern
Aren't Kappa great? The addition of the lanterns make this cute Kappa shirt. We should have added fart bubbles to our entries though, Kappa love to make loud passing gas sounds. :c)
Awesome! Hope you're just in time to make it back up there! I'm so looking forward to getting my Defrost shirt in the mail too, great job! :D
I hope people notice the resub to vote for it! Voted both times around--I absolutely love your work and think this very much deserves to be printed.

Haha, yeah the anus thing is kind of scary. If I grew up believing in Kappas, I don't think I'd go swimming...ever.
I really like this one.
