I'd buy sock in kleenex, but the economy just isn't what it used to be. That being said, I'll make a point to beg for every package of generic tissue product that comes in the next church boxes for those who need it here. This is going to be a looooong week.
ramyb wrote:By jumped, do you mean gained votes one at a time extremely slowly and made it to 14th place?
He actually copied it from a post he made on seki's entry. Trolls are

I love how the filter changes "sto.ck" into "sock". Why would it change that word?
Re: Let Them Eat Ice Cream!
I find it disheartening that all of the shirts I truly want never seem to rack up the votes (or if they do, they're juuust out of reach). I hope this one will somehow get to the top and stay there.
Jestik wrote:I love how the filter changes "sto.ck" into "sock". Why would it change that word?
because woot loves filters... and to make little boys ask silly questions ;)
Re: And His Head Swelled With Pride
Love this shirt. The style and color is great.
Re: Inspired by Masque of the Red Death
I saw this yesterday when I was going through HMs to get a feel for the derby contenders-to-be and I loved this. If one shirt from this derby printed, I'd want it to be this one.

ha ha, thats actually a really good idea! wish i had thought of it
If only this were on lemon.... Kidding, Boots. Good luck. GMV... again
Re: Inspired by Round the Moon
I still love this one as well. Nice to see it in the hotness. GMV.

It's from the "Video games in art history" derby, where derbyists attempted to replicate the style of a particular art movement or a famous artist, while depicting something video-game related. Other entries from that derby in the double-take include the Lichtenstein-inspired "Fighters in Love" and the Klimt-inspired "After the Rescue." That said, it fit that derby's theme perfectly, but this trope was done quite often in that derby. Not to say that this was a bad execution.

why do little boys ask silly questions?
Re: Live Cheep: Make Your Own Music
I still love his little sneakers! I hope this one makes it.
Jestik wrote:why do little boys ask silly questions?
Oh, now... if I answered that, you wouldn't be a little boy asking a silly question anymore. Then I'd have to kick your ass and bury you in the snow.

Seeing as riff's the one who designed it, I think he knows what he's talking about.
Re: Box O' Kittens
Very cute! I like how you picked a shirt colour that isn't used very often instead of the standard baby blue or tan. You have my vote.

Thanks for the second look!
Re: Metamorphosis
For some reason, I didn't like most of the shirts in that derby (it was the whole "one line" subject), but this was an exception.
PLEASE O PLEASE STAY IN THE FOG!
Re: Snegurochka - The Snow Maiden
Loved this in the Winter derby, still love it now. If this doesn't print, after the 60 days lapse, are you going to make it available elsewhere? I thought you mentioned having a store.
This is really beautiful. Love the idea and the execution. And the color. Very nice!

I SWEAR, if it doesn't make it THIS time...

Well, it's appropriate here as well.
Yay! My favorite!

honestly, I laughed completely out loud. Guffaw! But we do have way too much snow, at least it'd be fun.
electronic shirt = win boring asthetics = lose. Not sure if I'd buy this or not. I am conflicted.
If I didn't basically hate red shirts I would so buy this. wtb in black with the logo in red. kthx.

Must have this ...how do I vote?
sekiyoku wrote:Please, none of the negativity and drama on this thread. The original submission got 976 votes, which doesn't mean that it's going to win, but it's at least not surprising if it does well. If you have issues, take it up with woot. They're the ones who gave this an honorable mention.
I mean, if there was something fishy going on the first time then that 976 doesn't mean anything. Not saying that there is something fishy going on, but I am saying that your assertion proves little.
Re: Inspired by Harry Potter
"hairy" pot maker..durr. cute =)
Jestik wrote:honestly, I laughed completely out loud. Guffaw! But we do have way too much snow, at least it'd be fun.
XD Well, it would be fun for me... I wouldn't be the one under the snow. I'd have a cup of cocoa and be inside by the time you dug yourself out. l o l
Hey thanks so much for the comments and votes and all around good vibes, you guys. As to "Cheer Up! She Found You," I think the 60 day waiting period is up in a week or two. I'm going to put it up on Threadless as soon as it's over, so please go and vote for it if you want it (I'll put a link in my sig, then). And I'm really glad you all like that one. It's like my baby (that sounds a little gross, right?). It's the only one I'm really attached to, is what I mean.
Re: Silver Lining
i really like the textures you've made in the clouds. :D makes them feel like they're made up of a bunch of silver threads
Re: Skiing Freely
Have my vote again I love this shirt so much. Good luck!

that's only because I let you win ;)

Wow. Boy do I feel stupid. Until a couple of months ago, this was definitely a masculine site. Some cute stuff got through, like Nessie and Zenne's water entry, but nothing Hello Kitty-ish like this. If this got 976 votes, woot's demographic has changed, either physically or electronically. Has the average woot shopper really changed that much? 976 adolescent females suddenly descended on woot with paypal accounts? Does that make sense?

Yay!!! That is my second favorite shirt. (After this one of course!!!!!!!!!!!!)

The tutorial is easy-to-follow!~ Thank you for making it. I love this shirt and voted on it~ :O
