I mentioned this idea to Fable on Thursday. I didn't have time to do it, nor did I have a picture in my mind of how it would look - only the pun. This was a good way to take it.

I don't think the text is necessary though.

felloffthebus wrote:I too am one who agrees with this. There needs to be some justification for this. It is obvious that the people who vote for ramy's shirts don't buy them. If we remember the "A is for Atlas" vs. the "Sun Wukong" shirts, ramy's would've gotten a lot more vote than Tgenty's shirt if it did't have to be resubmitted, yet the sun wukong shirt is higher on the reckoning chart. We need to hold people accountable for this. People need to vote on what they would buy, not what is cute/attractive/cool looking. Take charge woot!

That proves nothing at all. Only one single derby shirt in the history of shirt.woot has sold LESS than the number of votes it received. All that it shows is that the voting demographic is a small subset of the purchasing demographic, and that the former is not always an accurate representation of the latter.

I do. That would be quite a stretch for most people to connect those dots without the text.

That's fair enough. In that case, I think you would fare better with something more concise. The word I had in mind before was "exercism".

Also, what does the text below each image say? You can't read them in the comp.

I should of included them but it was 4am when I finished and I was all loopy. But in order from left to right the 'exercises' are yoga, curls, soccer and crunches

RNSaffold wrote:He's an artist who also doesn't know how to calibrate his monitor properly :>

Most woot designers don't have a pantone book, and having one doesn't necessarily help if the majority of the voters don't have their monitors calibrated correctly.

And I think that the colours I'm seeing are as Ramy intended, if I read his description correctly. I'm pretty confident in the calibration of my monitor. It looks good on this end.

Heh. I like the colours. Not so much the design.

I like this one. A "that's what she said" joke at the right moment can be hilarious if it is not overused.

Do you ever get tired of pandering to the lowest common denominator?

It's good to see that so many of the other major artists here refuse to pander just to get prints, but it's unfortunate that never really rubbed off on you.

Ramy's entries tend to be hotbeds of conspiratorial, jealous intarweb rage. It's pretty fascinating to watch most of the time.
