I'm very sad that it looks like this shirt isn't going to win. At least I can save another $10 this derby.

Woot generally likes the background of the thumbnail to reflect the shirt color, so you may have a problem.

This looks very like the Neptune at Virginia Beach, except he is holding a turtle instead of a clam. Did you base this on a photo?

I could have sworn that I commented on this one before... I really love it. The colors are especially nice and it's everything a simple design should be. I'd buy it happily.

I know I couldn't get the background to match obviously ! And yes I did base it on the statue at Virginia Beach !

Thanks. Sometimes I try to provide a description that tells the story as well as the picture, although this time I think the description is better than the piece.

Either way, this is fun.

Vote!

And its probably really as much about looking neat for them, too

This is a definite buy for me. Love it.

Ahh... Cirque. I love it. They're amazing performances. I've only ever seen them on television, though. I really want to see one live. Someday... someday... And thanks for the mild comparison. It's the best compliment.

Re: The environmental impact of chewing gum

So there are these scientists over in Africa somewhere and they are trying to count wildebeasts, but since they all have the same markings, it is very difficult for them to keep track of ones they have counted and which ones they have not... So in an attempt to create some difference between the different animals, they got some spray paint and would do drive bys and mark animals as they went past. They started to notice something though. Many the animals that they were marking would then promptly be eaten. It turns out that because these animals looked different than the others in the herd, preditors saw them as weak and would target them.
The point of this discussion?
Your bubble blowing fish is shark bait.
Great design BTW

The thumbnail is definitely evocative.

I see the similarity in that we have monochromatic creatures. But the entries go different directions from there...and that's a good thing in each case.

This one has period piece written all over it speaking of older technology and the mystery that was much more pronounced before we had BBC, Discovery, PBS Nature, and the Cousteau franchise combing the oceans with underwater cameras. Throw in the "noone can hear you scream" factor and you've got a story going on here. Good job.

Graphix6, what editor do you use? If it is Photoshop, we might could get together some time and I can give you a few pointers so that future submissions the colors and match up and you can build on it and improve.
I do like the composition though

thanks to brother dude...I see that now. I admit that i had even commented to him that I didn't think much of this shirt. I did not have the scenario of far away and then close up in mind. If worn this would work out as described so now I can recant and tell you good job as well.

Your compatriot did have a similar submission and as I stated on his design, they go different directions from there. your use of the yellow highlights is your key.
