this sure has a lot of text on it... I thought they didn't want a lot of text on the shirts...

When I checked woot today I thought "great! the pirate shirt made it", and I instantly clicked the 'I want one' button. Then on the ordering page, I noticed it said 'You want 1 Olive Woot Tee(s).' Olive?! Ever just think about breadsticks?? I thought it was on brown in the derby and I'm not a big fan of the olive shirts.
so no sale today... had the shirt been brown it would have been a different story.

Pretty funny shirt, and certainly woot-worthy. Some of the diagrams are almost self-explanatory, but on others, I think the text is needed -- since I don't like text on my shirts, it is a no-sale for me, but good effort nonetheless.

so soon? you obviously missed the last 2 days. 1st place sold out in 2 hrs. 2nd place sold out before noon CST... This is not too surprising.

some derbies that allow text specifically state "incidental only" but this week, they left it open.

I wonder if that same complain would have been screamed from the rooftops had hax's won.

I thought it was early for a third place entry. Many don't sell out at all. Left over wootoff traffic, I guess.

Despite Adder's biting, poisonous remarks, I still enjoyed the bacon shirt...probably wouldn't have spent $10 on it, but it made me chuckle.

I guess it makes sense that these exercise shirts are so popular. We do live in the fattest nation on Earth. Everybody's fat, so everybody needs exercise.

This looks like total garbage. The derby has produced nothing but cartooney childish Rollerball (2002) for weeks and weeks now.

Pirates!>?
Why not cash in and give a derby JUST for Pirates?>!

Also, No Priate would compete in '12 oz. curls',
Pirates lifted the WHOLE PINT not 3/4 of one. that's the point of the pint.

Toby Flenderson: Actually, I didn't think it was appropriate to invite children, since it's uh, you know, there's gambling and alcohol, it's in our dangerous warehouse, it's a schoolnight, and you know, Hooter's is catering, and is that- is that enough? Should I keep going?
Michael Scott: [imitating Toby] Why are you the way that you are? Honestly, every time I try to do something fun, or exciting, you make it... not that way. I hate... so much about the things that you choose to be.

I would like to see an all pirate derby so they can be excluded every derby after that.

also with ninjas and zombies.

every derby after that.

It's painfully amusing to see people making comments like "Oooh, see, it sold out! Your criticisms are worthless because ____ shirt was so popular! ____ shirt really was a great design, because it sold out!" No. Look at the social/cultural pabulum that is popular in America. Look at the way most people dress and eat. Something is popular when it has something simple that will appeal to the greatest number of people, usually the lowest common denominator. That is not a sign of quality--that is a sign of pandering. Because the two rarely go together.

"But my opinion is just as valid as yours. All our opinions are equal." No. People always confuse "equal" with "the same." There is a huge difference between the two, marked by knowledge, experience, exposure, and quality of discussion/argument/analysis.

... and that's what I think about this weekend's derby winners. The end.

Wow, triple sellout again. I feel like woot would make so much more $$ if they just offered sellout shirts for $15 for the rest of the day. The main problem with reckoning is exposure anyway.

Sigh. At midnight, the shirt will be available again, but for $15. It will remain available for purchase until it is reckoned. Here: http://shirt.woot.com/Friends.aspx?k=8179 Click that link after midnight, and all your buying-a-pirate-shirt dreams will come true.

It will be on sale starting tonight at midnight central time for $15.00.

The top twenty sellers stay available, then there's this thing called a "reckoning" where shirts that didn't do as well get bumped off the list and are gone forever. But those top twenty will be for sale as long as they're on the top twenty. New shirts haven't been on long enough to drop off, so they're listed in the "perfectly safe" category.

You can see what's available at the link below.

I beat you to it! Nya nya.

Also, people, if you want to know what shirts are available for purchase on woot at any given time, I recommend going to http://www.shirtwhat.com. Simple, easy links that all lead back to shirt.woot. It really helps with navigating this site.

Hey, I was multi-tasking. Scooping litterboxes, doing laundry, taking some photographs, and trying to stay cool (right now it's 80° in the office, 75° outside).

Whippersnapper, that's what you are. You're a whippersnapper.

STAY COOL?!! 80 is perfect! It's at what I keep my home temp in summer, with 75 in winter.

Okay, you win. My jealousy over your glorious weather has overcome me. I am seething green and unable to riposte.
