If I can be honest, I don't think the coloring on this one is as good as the ones you normally do (I mean that as a compliment to your body of work) but I enjoy the Dr. Seuss-esque style.

I second this! I think the difference is that other artists tend to overuse the same old formulas or 'borrow' ideas from pop culture. Boots on the other hand is totally original and has a wonderful style. Maybe not everyone will appreciate it, but you can't argue there's no talent. I too hope BootsBoots stays controversy free and enjoys more success!

She knows as well as anyone that I hope it never happens, however, it appears that different styles and movements come and go here eventually. i'm sure she'll be fine here long term, and never outcast, but just like her following grew over a long period of time and is now finally in payout mode, at some point and time months from now another fresh, new artist will start growing a fan base, over a long period of time, and will eventually hit payout mode and take over. it won't necessarily be a revolt against boots, but, like all art movements, once "fresh, new, and interesting" becomes the norm, it's consistency causes it to lose excitement. And there's always something lurking around the corner to replace it. It'll just be sad when it happens to her art.

I guess I just want boots to really enjoy her victories; she certainly deserves them.

My version of a lot of other people's bits:

that big fish at the bottom reminds me of that one fish in the movie 'phantom menace' with some sort of a light bulb dangling in front of him chasing after obi wan and qui gon under the waters of naboo ...oh! geek alert!!!

Do they not need to prove the continued usefulness of their existence in as many ways as possible? It is like Congress. They are in the business of making laws and so that is what they do - whether the laws are required (or worthwhile) or not. For that matter, how about software upgrades? You can't just hire and fire (well, these days I suppose you could) people at whim depending on your needs.

Of course, there are the shirt.woots that simply don't HAVE anything to censor and they'd do anything to relieve the boredom.

The next step up would be a pointer from the "quality post" text to the posts that were considered good (and possibly why they were so judged.) I have four, apparently, don't know how I got them, don't know which ones they were and the mystery is quite gripping!
