And then maybe later
We get hot by the refrigerator
In the kitchen next to the pantry
You think that might be what you fancy?

nihlnyc wrote:i had the exact same idea...however i DID do the research and figured they would reject it since there are already TWO other shirts with the same idea...it'll be interesting to see if they let it fly...

btw...i think the one with the hat on it is a nice touch...if they let it go maybe u could resub with the hat...just a thought...

That would simply make it like the other one, just sans text. The fact remains, it's too similar to other existing designs. It'll likely get the boot come Monday (or Sunday night... we've been seeing serious rejections earlier, recently).

paulkremer wrote:I have to be honest radiomode, I usually love your work. I own 2 of your shirts, The Music Industry is one of my favorites of all time.

But this one makes me sad. It's one thing to have a blatant Mario ripoff where it fits, but quite another to FORCE a Mario ripoff TO fit the theme. I'm starting to see more and more designers use blatant references to pop culture for no other reason than specifically to use it, and it's getting old.

I realize the point of this is to get printed and get paid, but tossing aside the cleverness and creativeness I know you have inside of you for attempts like this make me sad. I hope that your future designs are ones that represent actual creativity, because those are the ones I like.

Yeah, I agree with you. I was excited to see a Good Eats shirt, as it is an awesome show, but this makes absolutely no sense. If I saw somebody walking down the street wearing this, I wouldn't think of Good Eats.

Even in the peaceful gaze of a Zebra is reflected the constant threat he must always be aware of.....The Serengetti is truly a Wild Kingdom.......

This is a revision of my original design.....

At the suggestions of several kind Wooters, I am resubmitting this in a slightly revised design with a green t-shirt background. Thanks for your votes and I hope you will find this new submission acceptable.....

This is great, Bell. I love it. The style is fantastic and the placement is great. The colors are really good too (although I am opposed to the heather grey!)

Inspired by CSI

I see a sai on the ground. You don't see a sai on the ground often. Well, maybe in certain movies when a TV news reporter walks in on a burglary and afterwards investigates the crime scene. Distinctively early 90's in vibe. If you get it, you get it.

Thunder always follows lightning (again xD)

I decided that the previous version looked strange, so I redrew and recolored the picture entirely, hope it looks better now

The shirt looks pretty cool. Although not something I would wear, I like your take on the show title. I wish there was more of a theme tho... like a finish line or something to convey its actually a race and not a stampede. As usual, great artwork. GMV for great color choices
