Let's be honest, a lot of designers submit entries that they know of course will never hit the fog. While some of them are actually aiming for the fog, a lot of them just clearly submit for fun. Sometimes, people do it to get feedback as well and improve their art. While I understand what people are getting at here, it's also clear that Ramy's not the only who ever submits things just for fun ;)
Glad to see you're taking the feedback seriously though Ramy. I was so sad when your design got kicked out of the fog two weeks ago at the last second in that derby when all but the very top four of the top 5 designs were basically tied. However, I do believe that that particular design showed another side of you as an artist that I think is important for you to expand on. However, I also think that it is important to remember that an artist has to truly FEEL their work and want to do something in a certain style. Therefore, Ramy, if you want to keep submitting in the same style, I think you have every right to. People will get tired of it and probably stop voting for it eventually, but I also don't feel like trying to humiliate an artist into changing their style is productive in any way (contrary to what some on this site clearly believe). Constructive feedback is important, and listening to constructive feedback is also important, but when it comes down to it, an artist has the right to express themselves in whatever way he or she feels is most appropriate. If you don't like it, you have just as much of a right as the rest of us to resist that "I'd want one" button!
