To walk, I put my right leg in front of my left. Then I move my left leg to in front of my right. I repeat as necessary.

Can't walk to store. There's really very few places you can do that in the large cities in TX. But I can walk for exercise.

There's also little public transportation in the DFW area.

It has 3 bedrooms. Master is away from the other 2 and has it's own bath. The other 2 bedrooms are in a separate hallway with another bath. That's the arrangement I wanted. When you walk in, there's a formal dining on one side and a formal living on the other. I'll use the living as my office. The kitchen has a eating area as well and it's next to the family room. It has a detached double garage.

It seems I like city stuff, as long as I have a yard for the dog and enough room to park the cars easily.
Which isn't the city!

That is perfect with a grown kid.
I'm guessing it is newer, just because of the bedroom setup.
When my kids were little and we had the two bedrooms on the first floor, it was great.
Son would wake up. I would walk 7 feet to the kitchen, give him breakfast and go back to bed!
Small came in handy with babies.

Now, even with the bedrooms upstairs, when they come home it is tiny.

My husband is going to have a fit. I just told son he could use daughters bedroom for his recording studio for the week he is home.
Maybe not if he is going to bring kids up there late.
Actually definitely not if he brings kids up there.

Yes. It has a perfect size back yard... small but not too small. Again, may not get this exact one but hopefully there'll be others like it that will become available if I miss out on this one.

Eventually we're gonna try to replace vinyl and carpet flooring in the kitchen and dining room with laminate. I'm pretty good with power tools, so I'm gonna attempt it myself. The hard part will be the kitchen vinyl removal, since they seemed to have ultra-glued it down.

Same here in Houston Area. We are so spread out and public transpo is just not very easy to take. I live out of the city limits, so it is a definite out. The only people who can live outside of the city proper and take a bus are those who work downtown and use a park & ride. That's not me. So I drive everywhere.

The one year I lived in Dallas my car broke down (1st job out of college). Couldn't afford to get it fixed right away. So what was a 20 min drive on the tollroad to work turned into a 1 - 2 hour bus ride. Had to ride the bus downtown and then change to another to get to work. ick

Yeah, it is hard to go from the car to the bus. Much better to go from taking the bus to getting a car!

My high school was a five minute drive. Even with the busses being only one block from the house, and one block from the 2nd bus and right outside the door of the school, it was at least a half hour.
Nobody ever drove us. Unless we could get an older brother or sister. Adults were afraid of the neighborhood. Rightly so.
But they sent us!

Yes, that's correct.

Back from non-rehearsal party for nephews wedding (tomorrow). It was very nice. Backyard party. Had a movie screen up in the corner showing Father of the Bride.

My ankle is swelling up. My arm is hurting. My knee isn't much better. My neck is aching. May not make it long tonight.

Spent fie hours in the ER tonight because of a high fever that I'm still not sure if it's connected to my leg or not. Did chest x-rays and CT scans. Fever came down. Now it's back up.
