What language is that in? French?

I dislike any clothing that suggests the rightful place for an edged instrument is on/inside me.

edit: I'd like to see the chef's knife silhouette with something about how it's all you really need. Those knife block sets are ripoffs; as a chef I use a chef's knife about 80% of the time (and a paring knife most of the remaining 20%).

I like the French. I feel like I could make this though; not sure it is worth 10 bucks.

Hm... it's probably good if you hang around a bunch of chefs. If you don't, the general public might think that you're a crazy psycho killer. Which has its own appeal, I suppose.

I really want it for the knife and the cooking and french references...but that's not actually how I typically cook. Oh well.

I like it, but feel like you would need some sort of street cred to wear this...like work in a kitchen professionally.

Mise en place is more or less a cooking area set up by those in the restaurant business. Each cook (chef, sous, line cook, sauce guy everyone) has their own area with instruments, spices, cutting area, etc. It's referred to as a "meeze." Folks in the business will love this shirt.

I like the shirt. Great design, nice and simple. Black is not the best on me, so I will pass, but it is a great shirt for the rest of you.

I guess woot is officially going for the quasi-celebrity angle? I wonder if woot sought out Mikey or is he also a graphic designer on the side. I want to know more about the process out of curiosity...

It is used in professional kitchens to refer to the ingredients, such as cuts of meat, relishes, sauces, par-cooked items, spices, freshly chopped vegetables, and other components that a cook requires for the menu items that they expect to prepare during their shift.

Have worked in the business, spent a year in France, and don't love it. Sorry to say, I also did not like "The Chopping Block".

Did I miss some sort of knife derby? What with yesterday's shirt and today's I almost expect tomorrow's to have some reference to that Bobby Darrin song.
