Also, you continue to have the means to create art by having another job. The sad truth is that most people who make their money solely from art are not making art most of the time, and most people who make real art aren't making too much bank off it.
While her first idea turned out to be unoriginal, I was mostly speaking of the different spin she took on the first concept. Which, of course, made it original. I also have to point out that the changes she did make, were changes she made in less than half a day. Which, I must say, is a whole lot better than I or most could have done. While I do agree with you on the fact that you can have the means from maintaining a different job, I tend to think that the artist is able to have better quality work and more time to fully express their ideas and inspiration when done full time. Of course I have no idea if that's even what Boots does, but that's just how I feel. As a sidenote, it really is a shame that those who are most talented don't come away with as much as those who aren't
