Thanks for the compliment.... I think

I had a hard time deciding on either baby blue or olive. Maybe next time i'll do an olive.

Very good! This design is very well done.
I really love how you managed to make it so beautiful while using so little color. Very impressive indeed.

Re: It Took 65 Million Years to Eat You

The theory behind this (and the scientists who proposed it) is pretty stupid, in my opinion. I mean a dinosaur evolving into a chicken? Hmm.

But anyways, this shirt is very amusing. I like it a lot. The shirt is funny and even the title adds a lot of humor to it. I think a lot of people would be amused or even laugh at seeing someone wearing this. Great job, Boots Boots.

This design is awesome! My only reservation is about the bird feeder pole that disappears mid-belly. Perhaps more of a hanging bird feeder style would be less abrupt.

Hmm, this is actually quite hilarious, I just wish that there was an idea on the shirt that links the kids' love for barney, because unfortunately, the title isn't on the shirt!

I should probably expand on this. When I said, "You don't know what you're talking about." I'm basically just repeating what you just said;

byrbwr said: "i just have to say, i don't know what it's like being an 'artist'".

But you then go on to open your mouth (type on your keypad) that she is lowering herself to some imaginary standard of a portrait of an artist by a hypothetical crowd of people that are going to laugh at her? You actually got me to laugh.

This idea that the artist does what they do out of passion alone and must take a vow of poverty like someone in the extreme service of their faith is absolutely ludicrous. The image of the starving artist is antiquated. When was the last time you went to a 'Starving Artist' Fair"? Most of the salable goods are pretty awful, and it's probably why they're starving in the first place. The folks who make much of it are the ones who do it for the passion alone and I would hope they don't expect to make a living off of it, but if they can make a few bucks, good on them.

These days there are many high-paying careers in the fields of art and design, and with email, the internet, and digital media, one doesn't even need to live in the same locale as the businesses that hire them as it was in decades before. A "real artist" can love to do what they do and also command a high salary for doing such. Making art and making money are hardly mutually exclusive and it does not have to lower the artist' morality or make them feel they are whoring their talents to take a paycheck and provide a living for themselves and their families.
So, with that I repeat;

[You are right, bybrwr...] You don't know what you're talking about.

Nice shirt design, but far from deserving the #1 spot, imo, with some of the other designs out there.

It's one thing to say you don't like it. It'd be even better to go ahead and give reasons as to why. But if you're "not impressed with this in the slightest" it's seemingly contradictory to then say 'Nice shirt design".

Amazing work Tgentry. Love the perspective. Seeing the underbellies of heavy beasts not built for flight as they ascend towards 'The Great Gig in the Sky" is all win. Nicely done.

The raptor messiah meme has picked up so much steam on the internet I was kind of surprised that there weren't any entries riffing on the idea in the Derby.

A google search, though, reveals that nobody else seems to have thought of 'angus deinonychus' as a play on 'angus dei,' though, so hooray for me.

Creepy, but I love it. It's weird enough to make people look and interesting enough for people to comment on. I'd totally wear it, the brown shirt goes perfectly with this somewhat disturbing design.

Re: Passing time until extinction

I enjoy the raw sort of style. You add wrinkles - great, not everything has to be so perfectly cute. I like a little unrefined. The design is simple but funny. I'd expect the pterodactyl to have some sort of emotion on its face, but I'm not so sure it'd necessarily look better.

Either way, I like this shirt, and I love the shirt color choice.

It reminds me of that shirt also, but Draxxx's shirt is so much better. For one, Draxxx's dino's look like the insides are connected and actually belong there as opposed to a dino shaped shell with gears inside like the one you are referring to.

Win wind-up dinos. I want to make you mine.

Re: Unprepared

Closer View:

An island of herbivores and one little carnivore that loved to scare the others with jokes or eating them. Oh, he learned to settle for the little grass patch and leaves and such. But he would still pick on the others. Oh he felt so proud this day. Man they were scared... hahahaha.... yes... yes they were. Though he didn't realize it was the imminent impact that had them cowering. I'm sure had they had some warning and knowledge of the aftermath that would ensue, they would have found better cover.

... or so I thought while spending a ridiculous amount of time on this. I hope you like it.

Maybe you should ALSO submit one with just the dino-bird alone. I like the entire image, but the whole bird-feeder idea might turn off some men... and that guy you drew is incredible, and will certainly hold his own solo!
