Re: the deadline was friday
I actually love this design. It looks awesome on the shirt. Is it supposed to be anything, though? I don't think it is. Just a random design that you almost gone done on Friday? Maybe I'm being dumb, but I like it.
Re: Almost Made It
Wow, he really was close. Great idea sir!
Re: Almost Landed It
Great style sir, and a really fun idea.
Re: mere inches away
I still don't get it....is the hand underground and it's reaching up through a hole to reach the canteen or is the canteen in water and we're seeing a reflection...? Or....something else....?
buphey wrote:Thanks! I was kind of thinking of the phrase "half a bubble off of plumb" when I designed it. Glad you like it!
I've spent my life telling people I'm half a bubble shy of level, so I love this shirt. I'd def buy it--but the orientation of the spirit level represents off level, NOT off plumb (true vertical)...GMV
I love this shirt. Such a good idea!

Thanks Databit!

Wow, thanks Drakxxx! It means a lot to get comments from my favorite designers. :c)
A lion in Australia? Or a pack of kangaroos in Africa? Does not compute!
registereduse wrote:Text? Text? All I see are 10 half-circles and two vertical lines. It's only two meters wide...
I hope that is how the rejectinator sees it. Love this shirt!
jordoharpo wrote:Oh no, the penguins are coming back.
Doesn't this violate the "flightless birds flying" clause of the rules? Or does that only apply to the guy who kept making the penguin shirts?
Re: Just one more...again
Looks much better!
What happens to all your old t-shirt designs? Are you going to do anything with them? If you are, be sure to let me know. There are a bunch I would buy/vote/support/etc. This one's good too.
Re: Just A Little Further (Green)
I like the orange a lot better. Could you possibly split your votes in half with submitting two different colors? =/
at least one other person recognizes the mobius strip...where the nerds at?
Wistera wrote:If this is off topic, I believe that all other shirts that have the same "reaching" theme should be rejected.
I agree, this shirt is 100% on topic for "almost." Also, the artist actually added a different style to the video game character rather than copying him pixel for pixel like most designers. I like this shirt. I think it deserves to stay in the derby.
Re: Nearly Noachian
This really needs to stay in the fog!!!
Sadly outside the print area, I believe
yemicculus wrote:Doesn't this violate the "flightless birds flying" clause of the rules? Or does that only apply to the guy who kept making the penguin shirts?
that rule was lifted a few months ago
Reawen wrote:Thanks for posting the detail! I was definitely missing things (like the bottle in Romeo's hand). I love the drawing!
Thanks, I'm glad you could enjoy it. I suspect a dark gray version would have acquired more votes. The use of one additional color also seems to be beneficial.
BootsBoots wrote:It's good. I'll be buying this one if it wins. I like the color scheme a lot.
I love the shirt, colors and 50's Hollywood look. Just wish the mobius were on it's side or something so it wouldn't inscribe circles around my, uh, chest.

Ha ha...that's a funny video.
patgirl81 wrote:This really needs to stay in the fog!!!
Pretty pretty please! ;) We are about 200 votes behind third place, though. (according to shirtderbystats.com) We need a surge of votes to get printed.
IndependentVik wrote:You left George Washington out of your list of options. I'm hardly a flag-waving, blindly jingoistic type, but I don't like seeing our first president in clown makeup.
The direction our country's heading is pretty disrespectful to our founding fathers, I thought this shirt captured it pretty well. Oh wait, we're progressive. But this shirt is pretty OT, I wouldn't mind it being resurrected for an appropriate derby.
Maybe it's just me, but I can't look at the "robot" without seeing the black knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Re: OUCH
Yes Zelda Heart (almost). Oh oops, now this shirt might get rejected for video game reference. The rejectinator hates video games this week. Sorry. But anyways, great design. Looks cool, GMV.
jonathan3botts wrote:I hope that is how the rejectinator sees it. Love this shirt!
Apparently it's not how he/she saw it.
Re: Almost free...
Hey good idea. I like it. And just for the fun of it GMV.

Thanks Jamie, always appreciated. So far, nothing for my old designs. I started designing on Woot as a stress relief and really enjoyed it. I haven't had time or the direction to venture out past Woot. If you have any ideas PM me.
Re: One Leg
Off-topic?! Almost enough tin to finish the toy soldier but not quite! Isn't that on topic? Totally don't agree but...okay. You're in charge...
BootsBoots wrote:I actually love this design. It looks awesome on the shirt. Is it supposed to be anything, though? I don't think it is. Just a random design that you almost gone done on Friday? Maybe I'm being dumb, but I like it.
you're pretty much spot on. it's not meant to be woot related...i was thinking of an architect who was working on a design (hence the structured lines), and realized he hadn't finished his proposal... i dunno. i just like how it looks on the shirt too
re: ooof! i almost saw it coming
The greens on the gray look great! You get my vote!
Re: Almost Hotdogs
Awesome (and strange).

Hey great idea! I mean why not, it IS almost an idea. Poor Sheneron was trying to get this through a number of times. That guy was a genius (seriously). His humorous posts confused so many clueless people. Several people with no sense of humor even got mad at him. I was laughing the whole time. I mean check this out:
Sheneron wrote: Thank you for your apology Conrads, I appreciate that. Perhaps we were all a little edgy, but it was a very trying time. I am sorry if I may have turned on you, but you weren't exactly being a very positive influence. For instance, you tattled on me, gleefully posted about it, then quoted yourself and posted a couple more times. That hurt and confused me, as I already stated above.
And this:
TAYLORT5 wrote:what a stupid life you live. HOLE lee CRA*P!!!!!
Sheneron wrote:I am sorry you think I live a stupid life. And I am sorry that you really mean that. I did indeed take the time to make a submission*, however, I also took the time to learn how to read and write. A skill that you did not require. I mean Gat Dangit man how many commas did you use? I had to pause so many times to breathe while I was reading what you wrote it took me about 10 minutes to get through it. SIr, I believe I am in store for a better future then I believe you to have. The way I see it, with the way you articulate and your ability to read and write I will be a large step up on the evolutionary chain. And I mean that. completely.
This guy is definitely the master of humor.
chade2001 wrote:hahah.that's what i thought when i first saw it!
glad you got the reference
I love it. Simple, wearable, and off-center. Still looks cool without the "random vector graphics" design.
Is there a way to fix the area, and have it resubmitted? Where is this "printable area",so I can be sure to aviod this in the future?
