Hey! I even *like* the brown a lot better than the asphalt. You're right Draxxx--it works a lot better. Here's hoping it storms to the top.

I agree. Beautiful picture, well-representative of Steampunk, but the grey doesn't suit.

Never posted on Woot before. After seeing the amount of work that went into this design and the hoops D had to jump through to get this where it belongs I had to make sure and submit my vote.

Yep, I've read some steampunk lit, leaning towards the cyberpunk variations.

Guess I should have rephrased my question and asked how this design fit the genre ~ Just by slapping some gears and steam on a design? But that oversight seems to be the commonality with most derby entries... in this and most other derbies.

I'm sorry if you thought of it all by yourself, but it's been done. To death. I doubt woot could legally even produce these.

Ehhh, it's an alright shirt not one i'd personally have voted or bought but still that rejection reason behind this is really weak.

what woot needs to do to foil the obvious 1 woot item voters is to raise the amount of items bought needed to vote from the current number to perhaps 10-20 items in order to vote.

they shouldn't show the names of the artists during the voting period, and only reveal them after the voting time has ended, or when the shirt gets printed.

Not as frustrating as one would imagine. It was a pain cuz I don't really enjoy making the separating the colors, and I was terrified that I didn't have time to do it. I do agree that this is a better shirt design than the last one, though. Thank you for the input!
If you couldn't tell, this is all very new to me. For a shirt design, you have to keep different things in mind than for other media. I wasn't doing so hot with that on the first one. I think I'm learning, though! Oh, and thanks for the vote!

Although I highly repspect the artwork on this one. I really don't dont see the association to the genre. Yeah you put a couple of pipes above his head that are emitting steam, but is this really steam punk?

The sad thing is that this seems to be a remarkably common trend. It wasn't until very recently that I saw anyone post here that had never purchased a shirt. Anymore they are quite quite common and most talk about the types of shirts they've bought in the past....The numbers of accounts with very low purchase totals is also worrisome. They all love ramy and buy all his designs but a sitting on less than 3 woots in many cases.

I realize that I've been here for over a year and a half and have yet to pass the 25 mark (I'm very close) but the wealth of new accounts talking about things which went on before they joined is getting very high and very troublesome.

This shirt is very pretty. I would have done the detailing in a darker color though. On my monitor the details are a little hard to see.

I've never been a fan of chaos designs like this one and I don't really think it fits the theme. Just because the style has Victorian elements and there are machines involved doesn't mean it's steampunk.
