That's what I was thinking. Even if it was original art...I wouldn't want to walk around feeling like I was wearing clip-art on my chest.

I think it's a kitsune mask--seems to be a fox muzzle at the bottom left of the face.

Who doesn't like Salsa dancing? Love this shirt, very witty and clever! Just wish they made it in a larger size, say...5 X or 6 X. Us fat guys like cool shirts too.

I like it, but I also think it'll look better slightly lower, since it's dancing upwards and to the right.

Right now it feels like it's going for his throat lol.

That would be impressive as Dumbo was released by Disney Studios in 1941.

I think Azuruli is right on the money here. The dark value shape doesn't seem to follow a clear form that goes with the other pieces.

I hope you can clarify that and resub because I think you have a good idea here.

This may be the first Woot shirt I've ever clicked and been truly amazed. I do hope this one becomes available.

I liked the idea of a candle that was hidden in shadows. Plus the blue moth always looks good next to oranges.

Re: my yellow flame she dances

i do like the shirt, but i'm undecided. i like the idea of it dancing to the center, but maybe its just my OCD--i cant get over the lopsided look to it.

It's cute, but I think I would have liked it better if the roles were reversed and he was the one needing the platforms.

Re: We Can Dance If We Want To

wow where the heck have i been? completely missed all this drama, which i suppose isn't a bad thing. i suppose i am at first inclined to defend the cute shirts of which i own so many and go on about democracy leading to the monotony here, but then i realize its been months since i've bought a woot shirt. i guess that speaks for itself.

as for this shirt, as always, i'm not sure how i feel about a white shirt, but i do like the concept.

Re: Dance Queen

This is really cool, but it will be rejected due to it being out of the printing area. Shrink her down to fit in a 16x20 area and center it on the shirt. No overhangs or wraparounds for derby entries.

The design and concept is mega-cool!

I remember this beautiful quote ..." The butterfly is a flying flower, The flower a tethered butterfly ".... By Ponce Denis Écouchard Lebrun. I attempted to tie both of these into this design. Hope you like it.

So... are the people supposed to be people or are they statues? If they're people, I kinda wish they were fleshed out a little more... and if they're statues... what are they doing on that DDR pad?

I agree that this isn't a very dynamic layout. I initially I had a different setup where she was actually throwing flower petals. I decided to make her large so that the shirt focus would be just on her, I wanted her to look more like a Hindu Goddess, and I wanted the details to be enjoyed. My dream would be to have very subtle gold foiling in place of some of the yellow areas on this design.

For some reason when I designed this, I really pictured it being a part of an outfit. A nice pair of jeans, a cute sweater, some accent jewelry (gold bangles, some earrings, maybe a hat, etc.) and some great sandals. Since the dancer covers a large area of the shirt, parts of her will always be visible. I wanted this shirt design to sets the mood/theme for a whole outfit.

That was my approach, because that is how I would wear something like this. It might very well be the wrong direction...So i really appreciate you pointing this out. These are key decisions, I'll have to think about it more in the future.

This is most excellent! Though, I would have to say that personally, the design looks kinda strange to me on the shirt. The reflections being the same size as the things its reflecting kinda removes some of the depth I think this could have.
