Hmmm not likely, there's a dancing corn chip to compete with.

Of course they exist! I learned about them in a Kurt Vonnegut book called Galapagos. The description he gives of the mating dance had me rolling and instantly cemented them as my favorite bird.

Thanks for the comment, I thought doing a detailed face would detract from the total design but will think about it for next time.
It's good to get feed back, Hope eveyone has a great memorial day week end.

Nice work.

Thank's for the vote This by far my favorite design that I made for this derby! The idea is that the chips and salsa are having their very own little fiesta! Dancing foot-loose and fancy free to the salsa dance

Actually that's a pretty stupid assumption to make. Just because he doesn't agree with Adder and likes the shirts that Adder critiques, that makes him a lemming?

In fact you can just as easily assume that most of the people voting for this shirt are lemmings, voting only for this shirt because Adder is the artist. Or are lemmings defined as anyone who disagrees with Adder?

Everyone has their opinion, and attacking them for it does not make you seem very intelligent.

krisrobinson wrote:hmm personal taste but I actually don't like this shirt as whole. I don't mind the concept, but the combination of style, colors etc. reminds me of like a cheap Taco joint uniform. But that's just personal taste, but congrats anyway because it looks like this will get printed for sure.

Thanks! I appreciate the honest comments and critiques as this is my first Derby!

razbrydax wrote:I am just in love with this shirt! The sketch technique is great. Good concept too! Although, maybe musical notes or some other dancing reference would help. They almost look like they are marching together (or in a chase like lavalamp suggests).

Looking forward to your future designs!

Glad you like it I guess putting something in the background might have helped to clarify some of those details, but I think it would've distracted from the main focal point-which is the salsa...

I wish woot would print something like this. It looks great. I would recommend moving and shrinking it just enough to be in line with the printing rules, cuz it's placement now is phenom!

As a Native American, I would highly suggest that you have Pocahontas doing the pole dancing. It is just offensive otherwise.

Thanks masterxuln but you don't have to defend me.

I vote on shirts that i would actually wear, not on something that looks like it took less than 5 minutes to make in paint just because it was made by Adder. If this was made by anyone else it wouldn't have nearly as much votes.

I understand that Adder has his own opinion, and he is definitely entitled to it and has the right to express it, but going to the extremes that he goes to in order to criticize artists that he is simply biased against is getting really annoying.

One of the most important roles of a geisha is her ability to dance. It was hard to show mushrooms dancing, but I figure it was close enough. :/

Love the style though, and would totally vote for this if there weren't fangs or blood (well, pouring from one's neck, at least) involved.

Yeah, this. I am so over vampires. Actually, I was never into them to begin with. If they were just Goth, that'd be cool by me. But I'm just one person, after all. Gotta follow your vision. You're very talented. :-)

Re: Rain Dance

I am so in love with this shirt design! There are plenty of designs I appreciate for their beauty or humor, but few that I am willing to actually spend money on. I'm not a big fan of the asphalt color for shirts, but it doesn't matter - my ten dollars and me will be ready and waiting for this one on Friday morning .

Me too. When it gets rejectorated (and the requisite sixty days have passed, of course), I hope the artist shops it around somewhere else where they can print it as pictured, 'cause damn.
