Re: Dance Macabre

Very dark and gorgeous. I know others wanted the guy to have a different colored outfit but the red works for me.

Dragon dances are incredibly well known particularly from Chinese New Year celebrations and possibly in other Asian cultures. I don't really see any resemblance in the two designs other than what naturally comes along with attempting to depict the same thing. It's like saying that if two artists depicted a leprechaun jigging that one must have stolen it from the other.

Aw doom. We'll still be friends - I hope all goes well in Chicago, though!

And, yes. Seriously rocking foot. You made the whole design so natural!

Wow guys! (and girls!)
I can't say how overwhelmed I am by the support and interest many of you have shown in this design. It wouldn't be half as polished or "magical" without the hints, tips, suggestions and critique you all provided. =)

You guys rock!
Here's hoping for a print! =)

Now I gotta work on that print ready file... :x not gonna be fun. :p

Re: Rain Dance

The more I look at this design, the more I love it! The splash of green on top really does a lot for your dancers.

The guys at the new SONIC drive-in told me to have a supersonic day. And I did!

Re: Very Hokey Shirt

I love the idea, but the actual instructions are wrong/physically difficult. The second panel should have a downward/outward arrow in front of the left foot, not a forward arrow in front of the right. You put your left foot then put your left foot OUT not you're right foot in, silly!

Ha, cute, and I like the sketchy style. Though I would prefer it on a different color... I don't know... I can see it more on kelly green, olive green, royal blue or navy blue, black, brown... these are colors that go better with chips and salsa to me;)

Well done, though way too creepy.
I also kind of dug the sketchy, whispery style from the derby thread better. Either way, a dancing skeleton isn't something I would wear, but I compliment your skills.

Hmm ... naw I think it's more of an "another hard day at work shakin my maracas" kind of a look. But there's something in the tilt of the eyes and mouth that makes me think he's getting some kind of satisfaction, still.

I looked at it more of an 'in your face, I'm going to dance because I feel like it, so phooey on you' kind of dance. He's accepted his fate, but has the determination to make the most of it, regardless of what people think.

I love it.

Bees use dance to tell each other where the best flowers are. They also use dance to avoid the wallflowers (easily identified by the large glasses they wear). No nerds allowed in this hive
