Dear woot, I really really wish you'd allow text for this one. Because "Hell's Paving Company" just wont come across right without it.

And perhaps you would consider changing the now seemingly ubiquitous "no text" rule to "no slogans"? Please?

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH........ whatever.

I'm surprised to see that no one has mentioned this yet, although I'm not sure if it qualifies as a quote, but I would love to see a "Fight fire with fire" design. Possibly two fireballs in boxing robes about to duke it out.

I'm not an artist, feel free to take the idea or leave it.

achariam wrote:I was thinking of illustrating Isaac Asimov's three laws of robotics. Is that a famous enough quote and would anyone wanna see a shirt like that?

1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey any orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Asimov was one of the first 'real authors' I started reading and would love a good 3-Laws shirt. Perhaps diagrams with a bit of flow charting to cover checking for conflicts.

Here is what I came up with for my thursday night 2 hour super speedy deluxe generic design. Keeping it simple on this first one this week, but I am going to try something different on my second design.

The metric system is used in North America. Both in Canada and in Mexico. Please remember that the U.S.A. does not equal North America.

Yes actually. I thought about going more menacing but It's just not in me.

I like to portray potentially dark images in adorable ways. :-D

This is seriously the first time I had a solid idea for a derby. Too bad I can't draw. Oh well, knowing me, if I thought of it then most likely it's already a million other shirts by now. Now if there's ever a "random doodle" derby, I'm jumping all over that.

Easy solution for this... put two pairs of bird legs, one pair down and left, the other off to the right. Tada! Two birds, one stone.

Final comp (unless I get some awesome feedback or something!) I also considered doing it on the creme color, and then the camel would be shirt color and I'd add in coloring for the sand. Thoughts?

please remember that ehalcyon is from canadia, and obliquely referring to canadians (and mexicans) as an "eccentric minority" is intended to be a humourous jab at him.

Just wrapped this up. Take Rene Descartes' classic, add a bit of phonetic interpretation, and you've got:

"I think, therefore I yam."

Not sure whether I'll have to officially name this "I think, therefore I am" to avoid the bone smashing power of the rejection hammer, and hope that people get the joke. Anybody have any thoughts on that?

Need to take a break to study for finals, but here's what I have so far

"Nobody likes a kiss-ass"

this donkey is gonna go on one side of the shirt, with a group of donkeys on the other side shunning him.
Still pretty new to this... feedback appreciated!

Gah, I don't have time to do all the elements I had planned in my design. I was going to have the sun, moon, stars and rain, and also elements of summer, autumn, winter and spring. Ah well. Two colours... the points are different.

wish by spirit and if by yes.

Any thoughts?

Well, it only stopped snowing here about a month ago. Canada is fun. But to be clear, snow in April actually is unusual for us.
