Re: Secret Admirer

I would love to see this resubbed too on a shirt... it's GMV either way though.

Really, this is actually a very nice design that's original, would be cute without the "mystery" theme, and has nothing to do with board games.

AdderXYU wrote:I would presume this if the "artist" wasn't already a known hackjob who has no concern but making some bank. It's easy enough to figure out who made these entries. Woot, in their infinite cornercutting, left plenty of loopholes.

And it's still identical just like kdeuce's butterflies were identical to his koi. It should be rejected. Protest should be intelligent. Which is one more reason I don't think this is protest, but simply a cash-grab.

Why are you so strange??

There's way too much information to decode the Matrix. You get used to it. I don't even see the code. All I see is Eggroll, General Tso, Kung Pao Chicken...

Maybe it's just me, but I liked the previous owl better. This is pretty good too, I just think the green throws off the whole look.

The previous owl is still around. I changed the thumbnail since people were unimpressed with it.

Looks more Threadless then woot. Where is the cutesy animal and throwaway one-liner? ;)

GMV for sure, this shirt is way cool.

It's like a Pixar title sequence on a shirt. Yes please.

Believe it or not, π is considered text. It is not only a mathematic constant, but it's the Greek letter 'P'.

I don't know, man... I like your other entry much more. Though the 'appeal to the insatiable appetite for cute animals' comment is funny. But your animals, in this one, don't strike me as cute. They're more realistic looking.

Believe it or not... I care! It's a an awesome mathematical number in which some believe hold secrets to defining our Universe... But then again that's a mystery not proven or disproved...

As for it being Text... it looks more like a symbol/logo than anything else... You don't have the Pi symbol on your phone when text messaging do you?

yankeebird wrote:As JadenKale pointed out, no they won't.

To address the other point, perhaps it's to point it out to the designer (who somehow missed the big bold "no text") so they could remove it and resubmit? Maybe, just maybe... it's people being helpful!

Is a symbol the same thing as text? In this case the question mark isn't spelling anything out, it's branding something. The design doesn't work without it, either. I don't feel this counts as text except in the absolute strictest sense.

kylemittskus wrote:Too large for the allowed printed area.

don't worry about that. They've allowed a thousand designs displayed this big on the shirt or bigger. The last day shirt that won the last derby was bigger than they ended up printing it. As long as it isn't above the neckline or too close to the sides, they seem to allow it.

On the right is the woot sale image, on the left the derby entry.

Weird, huh? It is a technical limitation, and they ignore it.

Thanks! Unfortunately you won't be able to vote until you but one item from any of the woot stores. Then once you do you'll see an "I'd want that" button above all the entries. So go buy something!

Ok, and "technically" it's not a Rubik's cube, so shhhhh..... ;D
