Now this is how to portray action and plot! This shirt rocks! You sir, have mad skills. It is so sad to see excellent work like this go by the wayside while careless cookie cutter garbage skyrockets to the top. You have my vote and my admiration. I hope you continue submitting to Woot.

Thanks. I'm glad you like it. Your design for this week is REALLY good too.

AND you're freely offering to resubmit with a different sun. That totally sounds like you /did/ use the same sun on purpose.

Go ahead and resubmit because you need to get rid of those gradients.

I'm sorry, but the swirl sun has been around for millenia.

The swirl sun in and of itself is not original, simply because its a fairly common design. So if she's stealing, then everyone's stealing.

Great design btw

Yeah, that was suggested and i have a comp like that.... but no point considering it's outside the printed area... Spot On though Bro!

Penguins are extremely small, so this picture makes nessie look like he's about 10 feet tall. hoho

Yeah I remember the surprise I had when I see penguins in a zoo for the first time. I thought they're as tall as humans!

I don't mind the use of penguins here, but the machine gun is kinda off... looks like it should be inside Gozilla's mouth rather than inside a nessie type dinosaur. I would still buy it though, so I hope it wins.

unnecessary pic attached... just because I'm bored at work.

hoho
i know which shirt it is because its one of the top 3 from last week....

you can believe that if you'd like, and i do get where you're coming from, but i think it would be pretty silly of me to copy a well selling design and not think i'd get called out on it.

for what its worth, here's the detail of mine compared to what i'm pretty sure you're talking about ;]

apologies to the artist if there is any confusion :o

and unfortunately its now too late to resub

oh well

It was submitted late no?

I get the feeling you have to submit the design asap or it won't have a chance (destroyer).

cobolisdead wrote:I have to side with Adder here on this point. If the artist didn't create and submit bad designs, than the public at large wouldn't be able to vote for them. Sure the public votes for them and bares a good share of the fault for it, but the artist is the one that conceived the design, created it, and submitted it for voting. Its entire existence is due to the artist, not the voting public.

So you have a problem with bad designs being submitted... are you saying that bad artists shouldn't submit? I'm not claiming to have any talent at all, but have submitted three designs (Elements, Dessert, Work). I know they weren't up to the standards of what gets printed here, but had fun making them and wanted to show them off hoping for double-digits votes each time. Are you suggesting I shouldn't bother as a bad artist, since I know they're bad designs? Come off your high horse and get over yourself.

Re: How we got pictures of the Yeti

I guess I don't understand how this has almost 700 votes. I personally do not wear white shirts. While a simple design is nice, this just does not look as polished or refined as it could/should(?) be.

Yup. That's exactly what I meant. Stop submitting crappy designs. :P

Seriously though, you read what I said wrong and out of context.
