Are the other folks who took on different names for this derby going to let us know who they are? I am wondering about 1stepahead and lucky1988. I do have guesses for them both and would like to find out if I am correct.

And it looks like I might be buying all 3 t-shirts this weekend, if the right ones print. And I don't even like cream shirts! I also was disappointed that Femme Fatale didn't make it.

I have a question...has any designer ever had 2 shirts print from the same derby? Also, how is it decided what shirts get into the 2nd chance derby? Thanks!

Who enters a contest without hoping they'll win? Even if the only prize is recognition?

there's no "i'd want one" button!
i'm logged in, and i already bought a shirt (2 in fact) so that's not the problem. how do i vote?

Voting is finished for this derby.

lucky isn't a pseudonym; that's his (her?) regular account.

Yes, that has happened more than once.

Woot chooses their favourites and gives them Honourable Mentions (HMs). These go into the double-take derby. Choices are not contingent upon votes.

It was easy to love ;-). Om, if you put it up somewhere else in time (barring a double-take), please let me (us) know!

Thank you! I didn't recall seeing his/her name before this derby.

Can you tell me who has had more than one shirt print from the same derby, if you recall? I'm curious about it, but not sure how I would go about searching for that information.

That's great...I'm glad some of the shirts get a second chance at printing -- hopefully some of the picks are shirts I want.

You've been most helpful. Thanks again.

I hope this gets printed. Sweet design. Best one out of the four and the only one I'd be willing to buy!

I'm going to link through ShirtDerbyStats, and I'm not going to be able to list them all because I don't actually know them all.

The first derby I'm aware of where someone printed twice is Cryptozoology; both designs, by discodancing, actually featured the same critters.

James Cho printed twice in the Line Art derby, which is also famous because FIVE shirts printed from that one due to ties for second AND third.

The Green derby saw Mr. Cho print twice again, this time in collaboration with tgentry and under the portmanteau name "chogentry".

dsladek got a double print in the second Double Take derby.

Winter 2009 saw a print from ramyb as well as a collaboration between ramyb and sekiyoku.

I think I'm missing some, but that's a pretty good list, right?

Re: Murder Mystery

I was among those who did not know who this artist was until people on this board kept ranting about it. I feel that by spoiling it in the comments completely destroys the point of this derby. Even if you hate it and know exactly who drew it, you could have still voiced your opinion without ruining it for other people.

This is called "having a set of personal morals and ethics". I recommend it to anyone[/quote]

Some would call it being a boorish pompous ass.We are talking about T-SHIRTS for God's sake!I'm sorry, but I just have to laugh at the seriousness of it all.

after a while, it got to be very annoying that there were so many ways you could accidentally find out who produced nearly all of the designs.
Woot could have done this right- a mystery derby could run at any time- why not make sure it would work before running it in such a careless way?

It also seems fruitless to hope that they are enforced in a consistent fashion.

kylemittskus wrote:I guess reading is hard if you never learned how, but "No text" is a relatively easy sentence to read. No?

Bonus points for making a response personal? Take a couple seconds longer looking at my post next time. In the beginning I state that a ? is indeed text and is indeed grounds for rejection. I then went on to say that it is my belief that the artist intended it as an artistic flourish rather than a more blatant use of text which unquestionably warrants rejection. I was merely stating my hope that with the inconsistency that has been brought to light within this derby, the hammer of rejection pass over this shirt.

Here's the real mystery of the design:
why would a cat kill a mouse and not eat it? XD

Because many of them - including ours - do just that. "The game's afoot!" (pun quite intentional), and all that.
