The main point is that woot doesn't want some random band getting all up in their grill, regardless of size or permission. They don't really know said band are your friends. they just want to cover ye olde legale arses

I just wanted an excuse to promote my friends band while entering.

Wouldn't this create a potential issue for the band in the future, if Shirt.Woot has the copyright on a design that features their name prominently? I'd think that would create some legal issues if they ever wanted to sell similar shirts on their own.

(The title says FAKE BAND, so I'm thinking this would be very against the intent of the derby regardless...)

Yes here's the code. It took me awhile to find for myself.

of course replace {} with [] and (width) and (length) with the pixel width and length (100 or 90 is good for a sig). For example {img=100x100}

I am hoping to see a number of horrible horrible death metal logos this week. Not that I expect it. That is way too outside the box for this crew.

Of course, the issue is, Death Metal has pretty much taken all the absolute most ludicrous fake names there are, and made them real bands

I was hoping a couple of my favorite fake band shirts would possibly come across from other places for this, but I think there's the same issue. Specifically "the yawns".

So... how are rejections going to work? If someone makes up a name but it ends up someone else finds the name of some band that is actually named that, what happens? Because like people are saying... there are a lot of bands already out there, with a lot of names...

Since woot already said that IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO SEARCH MYSPACE/ALLMUSIC, I would presume you get rejected for not taking your responsibility
