Re: The Space Crabs

Infestation of space crabs is more likely in adults than in children. Infection of a young child or teenager may indicate alien probing.

^ first thing I thought of when I heard the term "space crabs".

But the illustration is amazing!

When you submit to Woot, they automatically convert it to jpg. If you don't submit in jpg then the conversion really lowers the quality. Here's the checklist:

1. RGB mode
2. JPG format
3. no compression on your end
4. correct resolution (580x580px for the comp, 240x240px for the design detail)

I like how every user with a Japanese-esque username and who joined after a certain date no longer have a valid opinion on anything.

Re: Monsters Of Cowbell World Tour

Exactly what I thought of when I read the Derby theme and this seems to be the only design to have taken the tour shirt idea and ran with it. As someone else mentioned it would be cool for a little logo or something for the front but you have your limitations. Great job.

flibbityjibbet wrote:Unfortunately, I noticed the cymbal placement issue right off the bat hahaha. I can't really vote for it because of that alone. I'm naturally meticulous when it comes to things involving musical instruments.

I think you have so few votes, that if you re-subbed it, you would be just as likely to win. Better to do it now than later!

I understand if you want to leave it as is, though.

Just know that Woot isn't gonna let you change it after the voting ends. Because it's already been voted for and everything, changing it in any way afterwards could be considered a bait-n-switch :P

That's a small enough change that I think Woot would certainly allow it. Remember when Seki reordered her animals in her Amazing Race shirt? That was a bigger change than this one. Also, such a small change wouldn't turn off any of the people that voted for it.

I suggest you just post a revised comp in your first post in this thread to retain the votes of the nitpicky folk.

I live in Canada. I think I know that guy. Joe, right? He's a musical genius when it comes to the cowbell. I have no idea how he can draw such hauntingly beautiful sounds out of it. Joe's work is the very definition of "euphony".

Yeah, it's hard to explain. I like the _concept_ of the name and the idea behind it; I just don't like how it sounds when I say it out loud.

*shrugs*

Like I said, it was just me personally. I'm sure if someone as kickass at design as you disagrees, then plenty of people will like the name

Basic rules are on the submission page. Woot doesn't provide more easily-accessible information, but the community has pulled some resources together. Here's a guide I wrote. The third paragraph links to a set of unofficial rules compiled through observation.

Re: WWIAFTB

I'm not sure if Woot will allow the Family Guy reference. Back in the slogan derby I entered "My Favourite Colour Is Shiny", which is something my friend came up with and has been saying for YEARS. It was on its way up the ranks and was rejected for being a Simpsons reference. Having watched almost all of the older Simpsons episodes, I can say that it wasn't, so I suppose the reference came up in a more recent episode or the movie. Sigh.

But yeah - I'm not sure that this will pass.

I can think of a better band name. Threekachu. *shrugs*

Sorry but that's motherflippin' Pikachu.

And if we're nitpicking.. the ear holes in the helmets should have killed the other two, as well. And the dead one doesn't have an instrument. Not even a mic. *second shrug*

Just some carelessness. I don't care who drew this, it would be hated by me.

the name just struck a funny chord with me. i don't know why. i just like the name. i happen to like the shirt. different strokes for different folks. there are plenty of shirts on shirt woot that i don't particularly care for and others that i really like. this one happens to be in the latter category for me.

i like bunnies. and the more different while maintaining their cute, resonate with me (like i love the bunny on monty python's quest for the holy grail---cute but really evil).

Ok! Here we go. Celebrate the infamy of Syndi Slain, Tevin Hammer and Rusty Nailze with this commemorative re-issue of the classic "Avengeful Death" tee. Known for invoking b-rated horror movie gore, Avengeful Death appears here, standing atop a mound of conquered zombie flesh.
