jasneko wrote:Sweet! Actually it's interesting you say that about the text, because I thought it worked well without it too and almost submitted it like that... but not sure if it would still be considered on topic without the band name displayed?
I dig these colors too, thanks.

i am very proud of you....not that you need my approval.....but you used bright colors in every entry. no black shirts. no brown shirts. no asphalt. no navy. i hope you win. hell win 1, 2, and 3 spots.

i was worried with this derby it would be all black sabbath black tees with hackneyed band designs. yours are not that at all. thank you.

good luck.

Happy Beer.

Re: Lipsinker

Yes, I know it's not the proper spelling. I figure this looks more like a real band name than "Lip-Syncher" (which looks like it should be pronounced "lip-cincher").

eHalcyon wrote:I noticed the link in your signature and went to take a look. "We built this city on wheat and ore." HO. LY. AP. CRAY. I love it. But I can't bring myself to buy from any print-on-demand store. Is there any way you could try getting the design to a deal-a-day-you-keep-the-rights site like TeeFury or Ript Apparel?

And was that one from a past woot derby?

I'll look into that. I didn't know that sort of thing existed. That one was not a derby submission. I specifically designed it to be a vinyl print design through Spreadshirt. I have to admit, of all the Spreadshirt designs I have, the final product of that one is one of the cleanest. If I remember to do so, I'll post some macros of the final product.

Thanks for tootin' the ol' Perpetually Passe' horn for me. I don't think I've sold a shirt there in months.

Okay, now that's just weird. I just uploaded a design that has the Birch typeface AND on cranberry.

Yours is better though. Mine is dumb. :-)

I like this graphic a lot, makes a great looking shirt. I need to listen to some Elvis Costello now. Nice work.

Our music is essentially impossible to categorize. Yes, your vast overgeneralization of "indie" touches on some of the principles of our music, but limits the expression of what is really an undefinable ear art.

Re: Slave of the Senses

Great illustration. I am voting for it, and will buy it if it prints.

If I could change one thing, I would like it to be a little smaller on the shirt. I'm not crazy about designs that take up the whole shirt, but this is too good to let that keep me from wanting it. Great work.

And you hiding "this shirt makes me awesome" in the design.....

Do The Argyles have a shirt on this derby? you oughta make one, and put holes in it.

This derby's probably gonna give me the first woot! shirt I buy. then I can vote for future submissions!
