eHalcyon wrote:I also wrote some song lyrics - two verses, a chorus that changes, and a bridge. I don't have the skills to write music for it though. If anyone is interested, skilled and has free time and recording equipment, PM me!
I'm gonna keep the lyrics to myself for now though.
Made some tweaks; good enough to share now, I think. Any musicians around who could write some music and then record it for us?
If possible, the bass line should throb with emotion, beating like a broken heart. Also, it should be played not on a bass guitar but on a didgeridoo.

Eucalyptus Melancholy, the critically acclaimed emo-core rock group from down under, takes its name from their first hit single. Written by lead singer Joey Cinereus, the group calls the song the culmination of their depressing, meaningless life in the trees.
Eucalyptus Melancholy
No water left to shed a tear
My haunting pain is not enough
Motionless I strain to hear
The broken melody of love
You are the only one I fear
You leave me hanging from above
I can't hold on, I can't hold on
I'm crashing down, I'm crashing down
Eucalyptus melancholy
Toxic leaves ever befall me
Slip into the shadowed valley
Death is near, I live for folly
Eucalyptus melancholy
Eucalyptus melancholy
I've only poison words to eat
No roses here, I sleep in thorns
18 hours in the heat
My dessicated soul is torn
Without you I am incomplete
Without you I can only mourn
I can't go on, I can't go on
I'm crying now, I'm dying now
Eucalyptus melancholy
Toxic leaves ever befall me
Try to climb from shadowed valley
Death is near, I live for folly
Eucalyptus melancholy
[20 minutes of dramatic instrumental interlude]
I am not a vicious drop bear
I am a lover bleeding in despair
Why don't you care? Why don't you care?
Life is unfair, life is unfair!
Eucalyptus melancholy
Toxic leaves like dying holly
Walk with me through shadowed valley
Death is near, I live for folly
Eucalyptus melancholy
I dream of you, you still enthrall me
Weep with me in shadowed valley
Death is here, I die for folly
Death is here, I die for folly
Death is here, I die
Eucalyptus melancholy
