Yes...ok...so for anyone who's a thin, tall, 21-year-old girl the placement is fine. I agree. ;)

Re: Whoa, No Pressure Man

I love the concept! The execution I'm half and half on-- I had a hard time figuring out what it was at first. There's something very digital about it...which I don't quite get. But the concept is better than most in this derby!

Agree 100%. Come on voters, we've got to get this to the fog!

Maybe if everyone who wants this would "take it back" on the shirts that are definitely not going to fog it would help push this up.

Re: The Furbidden Love...

Very sweet, and I like how it's executed... but I'm just not so sure I read "pressure" in this. More "dangerous love" or "ill-advised love". Very sweet design, though.

So cute! The lil strawberry looks especially welcoming... like "come to me!!!"

Re: unwelcome guest

This must be a harder derby theme than I'd suspected, cause I've yet to see a really great execution that screams PRESSURE. Either it's mediocre art that's right on theme, or cool art that has little relation thematically. This falls into the latter group for me. Just really not understanding what about this is "pressure".

Great illustration. The expressions of those turtles really come through well. This is probably my favorite design of the derby.

Re: The Grave of my Childhood

I thought that I was nuts for seeing a super soaker in what I assumed was some sort of somber tribute to the military. Then I read the description, found out it was a super soaker, and was doubly confused. If the theme was Games Without Frontiers or The Horrors of Childhood, I'd be voting for this one right quick. As an illustration of "pressure"...not so much. (Especially as it's so easy to confuse this with the "pressures" of war!)

Re: The Whale That Always Sleeps

I keep trying to look at each entry with fresh eyes... but at this point I'm just too frustrated to hold it back. Pressure? This? Huh? Why in the world would a whale be under the city? We can tell he's under pressure?

It's a VERY cool shirt. But man...this theme leaves so many avenues for really capturing great pressure-filled situations, for making puns, for making jokes... I have yet to see something that really comes even close to working. (The closest I've seen is the s'more. Seriously.)

Re: Don't Drop The Prize

I love the idea; I'm a complete sucker for these crane games. But...the pressure of dropping the prize is missing. If it had to be read as a "pressure" situation, it seems more like (as someone alluded to here) the pressure of a turtle losing his bunny friend. Which is a weak sell.

I can't come up with what would have better conveyed the "pressure" aspect that we all know and love from this game. Perhaps what was needed was the person playing the game-- standing in the anxious way we all do when we play, sweating, staring nervously at the awesome bunny we might win.

Re: The Pressure Lessens

If only the anemones and lens glare weren't going to print like graph paper, I'd feel more confident about this one. I got the Will Hug for Food bear one (I know it's not a well-loved shirt, but it jibed with an inside joke among friends) and I'm embarrassed to wear it because of the horrible printing. I fear this will look the same.

I'd guess that it's just supposed to be a traffic sign. Yellow diamonds are usually used for warnings (i.e. "deer crossing ahead").

Well...I've checked myself, and I don't seem to have wrecked myself. Not sure how what I wrote invites the perverts. Just meant that the model shown shows precisely the limitations of this shirt: it will only look good on skinny tall young women.

Oh geez-- I just realized that the white fluffy thing is holding the yellow diamond! It's a yield sign. Or something.

Hell...I need to get off this site for a while. Worst shirtwoot ever.

If "meh times two" is the rudest thing I write in a day, I'm having a rather pleasant day. Seriously, I've heaped a bit more unhappy into a few more posts today than "meh". I think of my meh as the adverse opinion to everyone else's "I like it". It's not like I called the designer a talentless hack or something.

Agreed. I could have gotten this shirt at Mervyn's before they went down... like 5 years ago... and could have done so with a variety of colors to choose from.
But it was a silly shirt concept then, and it hasn't gotten any better. Sorry Kris.

Well the black thing on the ground appears to be a tie so I am assuming that this shirt is implying that you take out the competition to get ahead... i'm not quite sure what the lime has to do with anything, maybe it is a serial killer secret... but I might also guess it is supposed to be something to do with this:
