Lately I haven't been doing more than 1 entry a week, but when something makes me laugh I have to get it out there.

kaseyfleming wrote:thanks! thats kinda my goal here. everybody needs that one shirt in their closet that you think twice about wearing before you stomp over to grandmas house, right? anyways, thanks everybody so far for supporting the design!!!

Too true. I am really torn by this shirt. I really like the design but I'm not sure when I would wear a half naked pinup girl around. As a grad student my wardrobe is pretty lax as it is and I mostly wear t-shirts but this I don't know...I will probably buy it anyway. I really hope it prints.

binkdrop wrote:I completely understand what you're saying, and my comment was only meant as a cancellation joke. The idea in my head initially was to have an edgy girl with an edgy set of tattoos. I really wanted them to cover her entire body with bold lines, but I ended up not doing that because it was hard to see her form with so much going on. Plus I'm surely no tattoo artist so my tattoos looked like a bunch of random images. I went with what I had in the first version because I was mildly satisfied with it and it had the edginess you referred to. I changed it though because I realized that while it dark and bold tattoos appeal to me, others like different things, and that was mainly the feedback that I was getting. So, I did my best to change what I could to accommodate those that said something.

I think I'm pleased with the shirt as it is now, but if I had a shop of my own I'd surely print two versions - one of this, which is more delicate, and the other with some better designed, bold tattoos for those who like the edgier look better.

I really appreciate your taking the time to spill your thoughts. I appreciate a well spoken post of how people view the work I present, as everyone always seems to interpret things differently, and as everyone usually likes or dislikes completely different things.

You know, the more I look at it, the better it gets. I'm pretty sure I have never been this excited about getting a shirt...ever. Supersonic213 is right, this is really fresh and original. Great Job Kasey!

Any chance I can see the full design without the colouring?

I made a new one without the colors!

But here's how this looks w/o the colors, click!

Re: Dancing tattoos

Oops, I think I accidentally tattled your design. I apparently somehow clicked the button while opening the link to the full entry, then I think I accidentally hit the 'tattle away' button instead of 'cancel.'

Well, it was blank, though, so it shouldn't do any real harm... sorry about that!

shirts not bad either

Stop voting for shirts that you would never buy or wear, it says "I'd want one" not "I like this"!

Re: Yeah, thats what it really says.

For what it's worth on the whole "they're both robots so surely they share a language" thing. Perhaps I am reading too much into it, but the different fonts (to me) imply different languages (like how they do in comics or whatever).

(Besides, those robots really don't look all tha similar either.)

goldenthorn wrote:I like it, but unfortunately the proportions of the torso and the legs are completely off. The legs look like they were drawn for a much, much smaller woman. You can really see it in the calves and the feet/shoes. They're tiny (and too short) compared to the upper torso and the head.

If the body were proportional, then I would vote for this SO HARD.

Huh that's really weird. I posed for the picture the zombie is based off so the zombie has my exact torso to leg proportion... guess I have short legs...or a long torso XD

[edit]oh! You know it might just be because the shoulder is raised high up...

*stares at zombie*

I came up with it on my own. There is a reason I made it the way I did, and I would be really interested to see if anyone catches my meaning. So if anyone thinks they've got it post it up! If not I'll just post it up in a few days or something for you ^_^

Re: Tramp Postage Stamp

Funny but should have said First Class instead of 44¢ since the price will "date" the shirt as soon as stamp prices go up again.

Plus, Tramp Stamp ≠ First Class (making it ironic).

Yeah, it's missing the 'non'. I took four years of latin in highschool, but I'm just way too lazy to do it myself so I relied upon the internet... not always a wise choice. :p

this really is the most uninspired design yet. sure star wars gets votes, and probably even sells shirts to the morons, but it's just sad.

hum.. don't you think it'd make more sense if the bot getting the tattoo was a human? yeah, i think it would.

also, this is less a tattoo and more just a comic. no one would actually have this on their bodies.
