I'm in love with the character and the illustration style. Awesome work! The flipped portion could look more like a reflection if there were some defects to it like ripples or even some cross hatching with the neutral shirt color. It could look like she was standing in the hole in the center of gear with a reflection on the gear's metallic surface. AND the gear would serve as a really cool parallel to the types of framing used in traditional Victorian portraits.
