Well, night folks. Gotta get up with the kids tomorrow morning. We're making French Toast! :P

I saw early reports that enrollment is higher than ever here as well. Lots of people hiding in academia hoping the economy will improve.

Goodnight Skek

One of the few items they can slash is public school funding. Funny thing is that NJ got 1.2 billion for education as part of the stimulus package. How much did the colleges get? 35 million. Wonder where the rest went...

CUNY was free (tuition, not books and fees) until I was a senior.
Then the mayor of NYC and the Governor of NY, both of whom went to CUNY, decided to charge tuition.
The money went to the state general fund!
Annoying as hell

Almost as annoying as Qantas airline, which still has a flight that should have taken off an hour ago, as estimated.
Jet Blue spoiled me. They have good tracking.

Looks like I read it wrong. They took off.
So why say estimated??????

G'morning, Wootlings. This girl is up early because she simply *CANNOT* wake up at the correct time. Ever.

Car's going in to the shop today for a new tire, probably wheel, and a onceover to make sure nothing else got hurt by the blowout (I doubt anything did, but it doesn't hurt to have professionals assess it!)

Yay! I hope they say she is in wonderful shape except for the tire.

Morning everyone! Still very tired, but I did go to bed early. Trying to debate fighting my extreme desire to sleep in tomorrow in exchange for the best yard sales of the year and the Festival. . . I know the kids would love the parade, but we always tend to stay through a good part of the afternoon too.

I like yard sales too, and I think I've decided to get Ver2 a toddler bed since there is virtually no way to get two twin sized beds in the room where Ver1 sleeps and we have to get her out of the crib in our room. I know she will be too tall in a year, but I hope we can move before we have to move her again and then we can try to get a bunk bed set (or commission my dad to build one).

The Success by Six is having their annual fund raising sale tomorrow. It's usually pretty good.

Uuuuuh. Looks like we'll be moving soon. That'll be good. Probably.

Getting my tattoo finished tomorrow. That'll be painful, but also good.

Looking forward to seeing out of my left eye sometime this month.

I'd say that's about it! You?

Yay on moving and the tattoo. I don't think I know what happened to your eye.

Second day at home in a row with the kids. Everyones not quite as tired today, but already having some meltdowns.

New server arrived at the University for my project, but I can't play with it today because the daycare is closed. Orc is setting up the OS for me.

Meltdowns? Why, breakdowns are just what happen before breakthroughs! Or something.

Nothing happened to my eye. Much like AZ, I'm waiting on my docs to deliver visual correction and relief. They thought they had the right thing for me this week. Didn't work out, though.

Ah. Well I hope the corrections are right next time. I actually lost vision in my left eye in college (made Ornithology especially bad) because the glasses I got before school started had a prism that didn't belong and no one noticed.

As for the meltdowns leading to breakthroughs. . . . I think it mostly just leads to needing naps.
