This is really well done. Anybody know if there's a Falling Water gift shop? Because if there were this is probably better than anything they have in there.

Don't really care for your normal artwork, but this one is different and I like it! Very nice.

Isn't it obvious? He is sad because his tower fell, and the girl's face exploded.
That, or it's a LOTR reference. It is really up to the viewer.

Is it on black? The shirt color looks different than your background

I like it. : ) I'm a big fan of all things Egypt-related, and I like all the halftone effects (although I wonder how they print as I've not seen such a halftoned shirt yet in person). It's a whimsical shirt and I would wear it.

Re: The Witching Hour

I like the concept and I was hoping at least a few people would go the gothic cathedral avenue when I read the derby theme. : ) The only minor qualm I may have with the design is that the clouds/smoke look rather opaque. Lately I've seen some neat halftone effects that help portray translucency slightly better, but if you weren't going for that look then disregard my thoughts on that! :p

Nice work and good luck!

I love tofu... cute idea and the colors look good. Though the red looks a bit deeper than the one on my template.

Re: Building in the Toy Room

Unsure if anyone else was ever involved in Science Olympiad back in school - more specifically, the "Write It, Do It" event. The thumbnail for this one brought back immediate memories of furiously scribbling building instructions for things that looked an awful lot like this, back in my school days. :p Had to give it a vote just for nostalgia's sake.

DeadFrog wrote:He can never make Adder happy again. He's earned ADDER'S CONTEMPT!

For this achievement he can expect Adder to show up on any of his shirts that end up in the fog and nitpick each and every time!

This usually means the shirt will win; in part because past recipients of this prestigious award will vote for you out of spite.

Congrats Ramyb!

Which is reason enough for woot to stop making majority rule

I mean, honestly, if Deadfrog will vote for it, that's almost the same as saying it has no value ;)

Re: The Wrong Guys for The Job

I just noticed that they were making the house out of matchsticks...

The shirt was already one of my favourites this derby without noticing that. The fact they are using matchsticks makes it that much better.

jmmbell1987 wrote:It's not awful like "Listen to your Conscience" was, but it's bland. I really like the concept, and I actually like brush going across the middle. But the buildings themselves are nondescript and not very colorful, which creates the effect the the paintbrush is just creating a bunch of bluish blocks.

Simply put, while I don't hate the design, there are far more creative, visually vibrant entries in this derby that I'd prefer to see print.

I have to concur. I don't think it's particularly awful, but from a distance, I can see the buildings simply coming off as a blue smear. I'd certainly not want anyone invading my personal space simply to be able to discern what was printed on my t-shirt, so this gets a pass from me for the social anxiety factor, if nothing else!

AdderXYU wrote:OH LOOK A BUNCH OF VECTORS BUT ALSO A PYRAMID SO IT IS THEREFORE ON THEME EVEN THOUGH NONE OF THIS WAS DRAWN BY YOU

Um, I think I disagree. I think it's just a triangle. Which could be one side of a pyramid, but it really just looks like a triangle to me. So if I was making the call, I'd say that it's probably not on theme any more than a decorated square or circle would be.

No comment on artistry or not. My opinion on that is less than valid.
