I don't think yellow looks very good on me, but I don't care. I really like the look of this shirt.

Thanks lucky1988 and jestik!!
Chucks are easily my favorite shoes... great for stomping out any sentient plantlife I'd think. ;)

Also thank you rglee129, bootsboots, and jessebyah, sugareeali and wugsby!!

And thanks The Tim for answering kylemittskus, you are right. I mostly worked to improve the details for this derby (overall shading and the non-face flowers), also mildly tweaked the colors and changed placement.

I'm getting back into doing the derbies weekly.. very glad to see everyone around.

Not to pick on you, but I see this sentiment a lot and I never really understand it. There's nothing complex about this design.

Re: Cotton... the fabric of our shirts

OooOo, so I really like the cotton idea, that's neat. Also I agree that the placement is perfect, the cotton bits are very organically spaced. Gives it a very nicely shaped silhouette .

I remember the original version of this one from Panic. Voted then, voting now

You do such good work. I miss your entries when they're not around. You have one of the better cartoony styles around here: cute but not cloying.

Livnxtreem wrote:Exactly my point. Why do you think they make designs they know people will vote for? So they can get the MONEY, duh! Smart in my opinion because they could get an easy win just for the theme of their design. Not original,I know, but brilliant if you want the money. Instead of being so critical of the artist who is appealing to the voters and not the critics, be critical of the voters. The voters print the shirts. Can't blame a dude for wanting 1,000 buckaroos. That's all I am trying to say.

I have actually looked at some of the older shirts. One of my good friends happens to own the shirt with the Davinci Turtle from Mario. I have been looking at Woot shirts for quite some time. I meant new as in just recently became an artist on woot and bought shirts. I suppose I haven't seen all the shirts in the bloody archive. Good grief! But as many video game shirts I have seen printed you would think everyone wanted them. I had no idea there was so much hostility toward video game themes.

If you have such a problem with it. Design a better shirt people will vote for instead of the other! Win instead of Whining

I am not an artist, I am a consumer. And that TIRED argument of if you don't like it, design something better is totally invalid.

There isn't. Hell, one of my favorite designs (and one of the most popular in this site's history) is "The Cake is a Liar". It works because it's both an in-joke for people who've played Portal, and it's clever parody, one that also works as wonderfully absurd humor for those who know nothing of Portal. This design, well drawn as it is, is a reference, not a parody.

Every time I see someone use this monumentally illogical argument, I want to weep into my cereal. You don't have to be an artist to have an opinion on art. If that were the case, you wouldn't be allowed to like or dislike any films, songs, paintings, food, etc unless you'd made one of each yourself.

HalfWheat wrote:This is why I wish Woot would reject faster. Daily, even.

Couldn't agree more. It's unfair to the artists, as is, to begin rejecting this late. We haven't even seen any rejects yet/

Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, but this kind of reminds me of Beauty of the Beast... with the dripping rose. I like the use of the rose, surprised there aren't more entries using roses.

I'm not sure how well this will go over... probably like a lead balloon but I've put a lot of work in on it and here's the final result

I felt like the previous 2 entries were too.... girly? I'm not trying to make a political statement and, just a cool shirt...

any feedback on the shirt would be nice and if you think I deserve the fog I could use some student loan repayment Lol :D

Perhaps. I disagree, personally, for the reasons I state in the part after your quote. I don't trust Uwe Boll's or Michael Bay's opinion on film more than mine. I digress. That's a debate for another forum.

My point is that the oft-repeated "If you don't like it, design a better one yourself!" argument holds no water.
