Actually - a weed is any plant that is growing where you don't want it. Thus, in parts of the south Morning Glories are highly aggressive garden weeds, but in the north the buy seed packets of them.

A bandolier of carrots would be appreciated about now

I love this shirt! I do think it would be "more true" if Negative Bob's was a thought bubble instead of a speech bubble.

Your adherence to woot rules for designing is remarkable!

They should just rename the whole site walkingchris.woot.com and let you design everything!

It's to the point where I vote for Ramyb designs every week just to push them into the fog. I love watching the board go nuts when they end up printing.

I've never found one that I wanted, and have never bought one of his/her shirts, but every week I vote for their entries, and in talking to a bunch of my buddies who are on this site as well, they do the same.

Because of people like you who love to watch the drama burst into flames, people like myself - who try to draw or design for a living and could really use that money - are missing out. I don't even bother entering here half the time because it's barely worth it anymore. If Ramy and Seki each enter one design, that's a 90% chance of having 2 fog spaces filled for the week. I could be making designs for someone else who I KNOW would pay me, rather than the take the risk of "I wonder if Ramy or Seki is entering this week?" I'm not going to spend an all-nighter on Thursday making something for woot when there's little to no chance of it even being noticed.

So, thanks. You're rewarding someone $1000 + royalties just to get your jollies by watching people flame each other on a message board. Do you know how much money the two of them have made? Last I checked it was getting close to $20,000, if not more. I hope you're proud of yourself. If you liked the shirts, that'd be one thing. Good for you if you like an artist's design and you want to support them. But you're doing this just to watch people (maybe even people like me) twitch and scream about it.

I wouldn't even feed the troll in this case, but things like this need to be said. You're depriving a LOT of other artists from money that they rightly deserve, and depriving yourself of better t-shirts you could be purchasing. Some designers won't even bother with this place anymore for the same reasons I won't. Some of us still have our pride and don't want to pander to the lowest common desu and make cute Japanese-inspired junk, or swirly-halftone-a-palooza nonsense.

I used to wonder why Ramy and Seki didn't just go into business for themselves, but then I realized- by dominating shirt.woot, they get to make a boatload of money and never have to worry about any of the overhead and production costs, while still keeping t-shirt prices low for their customers. Who needs their own t-shirt business when they control roughly 1/4 of this one at any given time?

All right, I'm gonna stop before I steal all of AdderXYU's thunder. I need to go get the taste of hate and bitterness out of my mouth. u_u

I drew it in my engineering class on fri morn on a small legal pad...

I was so caught up in getting it submitted by the opening time that i shouodl have focused more on the desgin...

That, and to be honest I just got into graphic art not too long ago so I'm still learning...

mikenytola wrote:My original point to that person (not Adder) was that not all of his designs look the same. So yes it makes sense that I picked out the ones that did not and the ones that did for Van Gogh. I didn't disagree that some look the same. You basically support my point.

I totally agree with you on your points. And this argument can be made for any artist on Woot. The style is always the same, but the artwork is different. It's easy to tell the artists style because nobody wants to change their style. Why would you want to leave what is working for you? There would be no point to do it.

Haha, thanks for your support, but with names like Ramyb, Seki and Kdeuce above me things aren't looking too bright. Not many can compete with those established fan bases no matter how good a design they make

This shirt is hilarious. This would be a great shirt to have in your closet next to the cartoon-characters-in-a-can shirt and the spicy meatball shirt. I loved Blue's Clues when I was a kid, but this shirt still made me LOL.
