I love the retro feel, colors, and how you made it into a bear and fish, but... I can't, in good conscience, vote for this shirt because, imo, it doesn't convey "harvest." If this were a "retro" derby, I'd be all over this bad boy. Good luck!

His lower body sort of looks like a deformed tree.

Anyway, I realize all your fans seem to like the whole "glowy" thing you do. Myself, I'm not sure if it's objectively bad, but I'm sick of it: my two cents.

Blob bear eating blobs. Amazed that this is in the fog for "harvest". Would never buy this shirt. Retro regurgitation.

Well, that being said. I am sick of Drakxxx's style, Jasenko's style, Tgentry's style, Fable's style, BootsBoots style, Tjost's style, Edgar's style, Patricks style, etc.

Glad you like the design... Hopefully one of the derbies will give me an idea suited to a brighter shirt.

I know Asphalt and Cream are generally despised by the population. Are there any others that a vast majority don't like?

I'm pretty happy with the votes this one has been getting especially considering I just put it up last night.

How can you be sick of Fable's style if you like ramy's? They are the same as of late. I think what you meant to say was that you are sick of any good artist printing instead of ramy. I know it is difficult to comprehend that the voters suddenly seem to care about quality and originality and that this has left ramy out in the cold with very few prints, but all horrible fads here eventually wane as will ramy.

You'll just have to get your anime schlock somewhere el.....o wait you can't because no other site will print it.

That's probably why Woot pretty much rejects anything that looks like it came from a photo, because it's a difficult thing to prove for most people.

And it's up to you to prove that you own the rights to the photo, not up to them to disprove it.

All of the halftones are uniform throughout, so if some of them appear OK, then the others are OK as well as they are the exact same size. They are actually fairly decently sized, but since the vertical element of the shirt is so elongated, you basically have a zoomed out detail that makes them appear smaller. The fact that this is a design that takes up the entire 16x19 print space and you can still see the halftones in the preview image should suggest that the halftones are fine. Certainly they are no smaller than last week's Blue Moon design which made it to print.

Thanks themindofahaiku! I actually just posted a cranberry version last night just in case since this hasn't been moving upward, but I'm guessing the brown will still be preferred.

aresthegreat wrote:the arm doesnt really look that bad, does it?

maybe to an "untrained" eye it looks fine...

Okay, so you'd rather settle for an inferior design when there is something that could easily be improved? Noting the arm is merely constructive criticism. It doesn't have to do with it being Ramy (though I admit I'm sure it makes people more critical than usual) but the fact is that it's wrong, anatomically.

It boggles me that no one ever wants to see their favorite artists grow and improve their work over time. Ramy's been drawing and succeeding long enough that he should get better and better with each new design he makes, and not making such grievous anatomy mistakes.

dixon and janesko: In the event that woot has deemed it not close enough, I have set up a new version. Seeing that the shirt staff have been so inconsistent lately regarding colors that have simply been eyedropper'd to use for a mock up, they should at least honor the Pantone choices they note beside the shirt colors. And those HAVE changed rather recently. I believe some of those Pantone numbers changed when they fixed the submission screen a few derbies back.

Ok... but even if woot overlooks it - aren't the comps mostly to show voters what the design looks like on the shirt they are potentially voting for/thinking about buying? Because right now, it looks most like your design is on an asphalt shirt.
I don't know, even if there are exceptions I think using the eyedropper will portray a more accurate shirt color overall, based on your shirt and other shirts I've seen. Here's a recent one.
