[quote postid="3438717" user="jewelwing"]mixer23 - since you asked, I will put it in the shop one day. (unless I think of something better to do with it.) Thanks for the reminder too, I tend to forget to keep adding this over there.

Thanks a ton, I'll be sure to purchase one wherever(and whenever) I end up seeing it. Y'know, there's a lot of designs you did that I'd like to see printed someday... ;)

Not particularly. Yet another design nowhere near the fog which I'm sure you will blame on late submission but given how quickly "I call it Housekeeping" is rising that's definitely a cop out. Also that shirt makes me laugh every time I see this one. One, because it's hilarious and two because it seems woot does actually care about proper execution, creativity and originality. I guess you were wrong again.

I love this design. I might get rid of the screaming ghost. It's obvious what's going on without it and it makes it seem like more a novelty shirt instead of a classy, cool, and subtly funny shirt. I'd still buy one. Good design and creative interpretation of a somewhat bland theme!

Re: Brand New Love

I love the style. I love the idea. I love the colors....I just don't love the shirt color. Admittedly, the design works well on lemon, I just can't stand a lemon shirt. I really want to vote for this but I just can't. I'm sorry. I want it...in another color...and I couldn't even say which one. Great job, though, and best of luck to ya!

I know what halftones are and own some shirts with them.. it just looks like it would print extremely faintly.. and after washings not at all.

Re: Reaper

Some people here seriously have no restraint. Your dislike for ramy's work has driven you over the edge in terms of rude and personally demeaning comments. Oh, I know, it's the Internet and everything goes, and ramy and seki have the audacity to submit their artwork to a wide-open and democratic contest and then ACTUALLY WIN IT Our Movie Genre THE NERVE.

But while the haters here started off by looking like they might have had legit criticisms or possibly even a legit beef with ramy and seki, y'all are just looking like sorer and sorer losers with every post. I don't even remember the last time I saw a design by Adder (please don't post a million links with your most recent Derby entries, I won't look at them anyway). I note who refuses to jump in to the bashing and who picks up the hammer, so to speak, and I make sure that only the designers who keep their discourse pleasant and their criticism civil and fair get my business. I can't possibly be the only one.

You're not convincing anyone. You sound like a bunch of babies at best and mean-spirited wankers at worst. Stop complaining and create something.

That is somewhat true, yes. He is a lot more vocal about putting people down and standing on a soap box preaching what he thinks is good/creative and what is not. He has such a strong opinion on things and wants to see change here. He insults designers on a regular basis. So his opinion isn't just personal taste, it's his ideology. If it was just a simple opinion then I don't think he needs validity at all, but for him it's a lot more then just an opinion. Therefore I am curious as to what gives his words validity.

So what you're saying is that we're being rude by insulting others right?

And you are complaining that you want us to stop complaining?

And also, you only consider criticism from designers?

Thank you, JadenKale, for your comments. I see what you are saying. I did try it with flipper feet but either I was just doing them wrong or something so I chopped them off. At first, I had a pearl diving boat on the top but it was just distracting. A bag would have been nice.

With or without the steam soul it'd be on theme because either way he's still ending someone's life, hence still reaping or harvesting souls. I kind of the like it myself, I feel like it's an added bonus, or plus, to the main concept. I think given the chance to take it out or leave it, I'd definitely still leave it in.

jerroul wrote:What could possibly be creepy or awkward about this shirt? What it shows is a "haircut". No problem - people get them all the time. Some, like my wife even go from wearing their hair long to wearing it short just for the sake of comfort. What it implies is caring for others, through the auspices of a group that helps people who have lost their hair from undergoing chemo-therepy. Again, no problem - unless you happen to think that the way to deal with life's problems is to bury, shun or ignore them. In which case, you would want to avoid buying or seeing this shirt or any of the myriad of others that hint on "unpleasant" facts of existence.
This discourse is not meant to offend, rather it is intended to give food for thought.

I don't think that anyone is claiming that Locks of Love is a 'creepy' or 'disturbing' organization, or has any issues with the intended message behind the design. (I know I don't - my father, my sister, and myself have all donated hair in the past.)

I believe most of the critiques geared at this shirt are purely in regards to its aesthetic appearance. The large lock of hair in the foreground, in my opinion, certainly makes the design look somewhat imbalanced, or even 'awkward'.
