Re: The Caves: They are Mammoth
Very nice design, excellent use of color and is very pleasant to the eye.
Re: Wildlife in Nepal
Aw, this is cute! I like the orange and green that pop off the shirt. It would be a cute kids shirt ^^
Jaiyla wrote:Our Movie Genre. this is adorable <33333
..? no idea why it says "our movie genre" before my real posting but once again, real nice job. it definitely has my vote
Re: Bagel Bear National Park (V.2)
Ok, trying another version with some suggested modifications by JesseByah... also decided to try it on Kelly, which was the other color I was considering. Feedback and votes much appreciated. Thanks!
Re: Yellowsnow National Park
hahaha, cute. I like the bear not-so-subtly scooping up the yellow snow.
Re: Raven Sanctuary Final (?) Resub
Now with correct spelling! Please vote... Comment. Etc.
I quite enjoy the "Unique Wildlife" part
capedcrusader514 wrote:then it should still be rejected? especially if it's an actual park, right?
Just as long as the name of the park isn't on the shirt. Which it isn't. I do archaeology out there and I love taking lunch under the shade of a Joshua Tree. Nothing better. Awesome design! I need to buy something so I can vote for this shirt!
Staff
Litter Nevermore gets a chuckle and a vote from me.
devdave wrote:thanks jabb for the clarification they are supposed to be foxes and when i'd finished i thought they did look a bit like wolves too.
Sorry 'bout that. The front one looked very fox-ish to me, I just didn't verbalize it. The one slightly to the rear struck me as kind of polar bear shaped. My bad
Re: Giant Sequoia
that's incredible
Re: National Park of Wahoo!
gmv just for making awesome bear. esp the kid. its almost like that bear character from the cleveland show
tgentry wrote:Here's an example: you can create a character that slightly resembles Garfield to do a parody about Garfield. You can't create your own comic strip with a character that looks like Garfield if you're not parodying the original comic. That's the difference. On the one hand you're commenting on someone else's intellectual property, on the other you're infringing upon it. If the artist was clearly parodying Mini Moose I doubt it would have been rejected (as long as there were some clear visual differences between the the new version from the original). As it is the character looks a lot like the original without any commentary or parody of it.
This shirt doesn't look at all like minimoose. If somebody draws a cartoon of an orange cat with black stripes, that doesn't automatically make it an infringement of intellectual property. Learn to not be afraid of corporations all the time, geeze.
laryxle wrote:There is an actual place called 'luna park', in Sydney and in Melbourne. It's a theme park, but it's quite famous, and i'm not sure if this shirt would be allowed given the rules?
Does the park in Sydney ever threaten the park in Melbourne? Who has rights to the name? Melbourne or Sydney?
Re: Bear. In. Station. Wagon.
fun
Re: See America By Road Trip...
I like it
bakefy wrote:Does the park in Sydney ever threaten the park in Melbourne? Who has rights to the name? Melbourne or Sydney?
I'm so dumb. It's like Disney in Cali and Florida, same owner. Hopefully they dont have it trademarked. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luna_Park I was going for something more along the lines of... http://www.hulu.com/watch/4494/futurama-luna-park
Re: BLACK LANDS NATIONAL PARK
Fantastic illustration, definitely a contender in my mind.
The resemblence is vague. The only merit of this shirt that warrants rejection is perhaps being off-topic. Seems more like a comment on animals/accidents than a comment on national parks. Not that ii should be rejected. Just sayin is all.

I don't know... I think it looks exactly like the stuffed minimoose with an opened mouth. Also, I put the picture next to another one I found. It IS very close...
Here's my entry for this week. Some of the most beautiful national parks are subterranean. They can also be incredibly creepy. I hope you like it! Enlarge
Re: A Breath of Fresh Air
I like how it looks like around the trees are lungs.
Re: Lost Souls Cavern
Looks like a winner! I may lose, but at least I'll be clothed well.
.
Very nice retro look!

Thanks. The woot system takes some liberties in censoring text submitted to keep things family friendly.
Re: Damnit
i lol'd
Soooooo the shirt really makes no sense by having the ring crossed out. Sauron wants the ring to come to him, he wants it in Mordor. Nice try though.

Dang, I just did this. And you're right--several designs with the same concept already exist. Not the exact same execution, but then the rejectionator often rejects for concept (the dandelion rejections come to mind). It's too bad--I liked this one. And, being unfamiliar with the meme, I thought it was pretty original. Maybe a resub with more of an oval, like some have suggested above, is in order? Oh, and I couldn't let this post end without thanking you, ramyb, for "branching" out. /runs away

Re: Forest Adventure
Awesome... fantastic illustration, great colors... the eye is drawn up to the light and you captured a sense of depth really well.
Screwed up royally, will resub.
lindab53 wrote:"But do not use the names of any actual National Parks, landmarks like Old Faithful, or the U.S. National Park Service." I don't know if yours will pass the rejectionater or not. What a lonely life for that whale, but I like the concept.
The rule was meant for the T-shirt printed text I believe.
Re: Redundancy National Park
I like the design of the shirt as well as the way the shirt was designed.
Gorgeous work as usual sir! Your a master at with those lighting effects.
Very cool man. A really well done, fun illustration.
Re: Gummistone Park
Amazing idea sir! I love how they're all stiff like the actual candy, and the one I imagine is melting in the sun. I laughed on multiple levels, then I voted. Best of luck this week man.
Re: Night Walk
Fixed the layers (my greys were gone! gone!). I'm pretty sure the undead have a nation with parks... or not. I'm tired. Please comment and lemme know what you think! :D
