Honestly what you think of the artist as a person doesn't matter. If you have a problem with the artist, tell woot and let them handle it as they see fit, vote for another shirt, don't buy the shirt, etc. If people like the cat, and they want to wear it, what's the problem?! THREE SHIRTS will be printed. It's not like if you want one it has to be the cat.
It has nothing to do with kittens or pumpkins, and for me it has nothing personal to do with the artist. The problem is that the first version of this shirt was rejected because it's too similar to existing shirts. Woot's opinion, not the voters' opinions. The artist resubmitted the same design with a different colored cat. But it's the same design that was "too similar" before. Nothing has been done to change the "too similar" problem.
It would be the same thing if I gave you hamburger and you said, "I don't eat red meat," and then I took the burger back, wrapped it in lettuce and gave it back to you. It's the same red meat. It doesn't matter if I wrap it in lettuce or put it on rye bread, the original problem has not been addressed.
