mrwednesday wrote:That's not a concept because it's not in the design. This is one thing you and ramy miss quite a bit. When your shirt has a concept that means that anyone should be able to see it without reading the title or some bs justification you're trying to present to excuse the fact that this is a direct lift of the tons of "cats in jack-o-lantern" shirts. It also means that most if not all should be able to see the concept themselves.

I completely agree. What's even worse is that Seki has pulled off shirts with concept (as defined above) in the past. For example Imposter is a shirt with cute animals for sure, but it also has a concept that anyone looking at it can get without needing any kind of elaborate back-story. In fact, I looked at that shirt, chuckled because of the concept, and then made it my first Woot purchase. I really don't understand why Seki chooses to go back to the same cute, concept-less, designs despite being able to do something with more thought behind it. If the shirt somehow showed the "debate" that "may drive the viewer into madness" via an illustration of the viewer/carver then maybe arguing that this shirt has a concept would be justified. Without an illustration of the back-story, this is just a kitten in a pumpkin (which, as others have pointed out, has already been done time and time again).

Plus, why'd you have to make the title all cutesy-wootsy with Lolcats speak? It's just kind of gross.

Re: Candy Corn Vs. Pumpkin

I really like the style...but it doesn't work. Both sides would have to deliberately NOT take the win/block in order to get this configuration, no matter who went first.

Sorry. I hate that I'm 'that person' who can't see past this.

But the worst part is that if this doesn't get rejected I'm sure it will continue to be fogged. People obviously don't care and want the OH JESUS CUTE and don't care it's been run into the ground, or whatever the hell goes through one's mind when they vote for something like this. Or someone is getting their rocks off by voting for this and 'fueling the fire.' Look, I am a girl and I love my share of cute fuzzy things and lord knows I have squealed at my share of real kittens and puppies and baby animals and whatever the heck else but it gets OLD.

Either or. It still bothers me.

You don't have to wait you know - just go to the internet and search for "kitten in a pumpkin t-shirt". You'll be able to get your GF the same shirt right now - they're all over the place.

No, I agree. There are better ways to illustrate a tie/lose in tic-tac-toe then deliberately losing.

If you take your kitty and pick it up so that they are walking on their back legs, they actually look a lot like this. The zombie walk, the eyes, the way their front arm-legs stick out. That isn't mean, is it?

I really like your drawing, but putting it in panels make it a little overwhelming. How about drawing the pumpkin transition in slow-motion like how some movies do it? Might be hard? But maybe it'll work?

anyways GMV!

With the two pumpkins though that might not work. Since the last panel is sort of centered around the fact that pumpkin #2 turned into a were-pumpkin and killed his friend.

Actually, no - this is totally possible - i thought i remembered playing it out in my head:

1. Candy corn takes top right
2. Pumpkin takes the middle (thinking he is clever because he got the middle)
3. Candy corn takes bottom left
4. Pumpkin takes bottom right
5. Candy corn takes top left to block the Pumpkin and guarantee the win.
6. Pumpkin takes top middle, while cursing with the knowledge that on the next turn candy corn will win with middle left.

This is the trick I used to use all the time to win. Candy corn just legitimately outsmarted the pumpkin.

I will give you the benefit of this one but that is what it looks like at first glance. People aren't going to play that out in their head. All they'll think is: That's weird. They lost on purpose.

I'm disappointed how the colors show variations in the samples, here’s the list. Pantone Black 4c, 5467c, 411c, 433c, 504c, and 4485c. Shirt color: black.
