I may be standing apart on this one, but I actually liked your first version of this shirt better, if anything for the color palette.

But this shirt still has my vote. Tough break on the last one being rejected. I hope you place in the top 4, man. =)

There's just too much I could say that would show how I agree with you. So instead I'll simply quote one of my favorite movies, Spaceballs:

Lone Starr: "We're not just doing it for money... we're doing it for a sh*tload of money!"

Cute Little Pupp--er, ahem, Barf: "Oh... you're right! And when you're right, you're right. And you? You're always right!"

AliCat713 wrote:The shoddy rule-application for the rejections this week has me seriously considering going elsewhere for my T-shirts. Which is a shame, Woot - because pretty soon, you'll just be another Wal-Mart quality T-shirt site instead of one with a legitimate contest, and the only voters and buyers you have left will be the ones who shop at Wal-Mart anyway.

So, I have this theory. The reason the shirt hasn't been rejected yet is that Woot is waiting until after submissions close to reject it so that the inconsiderate and selfish artist doesn't have time to submit "panther in a pumpkin" "bobcat in a pumpkin" "leopard in a pumpkin" "meercat in a pumpkin" or "katt williams in a pumpkin" this derby. The point is to save everyone's time in the long run.

This is what I keep telling myself, at least.

Wow, I didn't think so many people would look into the date so much!haha. There really is no significance to it, other than that I wanted them to have died on the SAME date...maybe in a car crash after their HS Prom or after their wedding. KaylaJ had the right idea;)

To be honest I actually meant the date to be 1892 though and not 1982...temporary dyslexia I guess, haha. I'll try sending Woot a different print-ready file with a more significant earlier date, but if they don't change it, I don't think it's too detrimental to the overall design (hopefully;).

They're pulling a fast one on Yoda? I don't think so. If Yoda could sense that the clones were going to kill him, I think he could sense a disturbance in his candy bucket. J/K I voted.

Our Movie Genre WHAT A CUTE SHIRT I MUST HAVE IT! Like, totally, GMV +11111111!!!11!1111 THAT CAT IS SO QUUTE! I've never seen a shirt like this before! The only thing that would make this shirt better would be a candle like, illuminating the pumpkin with negative lighting! You know, in that special way that special Halloween candles do :D

I did like the first one better, but out support for actual talent this gets my vote. I'll buy it eitherways, because I need a Draxx shirt for Halloween.

I can't understand why the rejectionator has it in for Draxx (I'm still upset about his rejection on the harvest). I've been upset enough to think about leaving woot, but I in good conscience can't run off while there is still talent here fighting the good fight.

Seriously though this is bullsh!t

thank you.

i can see now that there's the Headless Horseman. it's hard to differentiate between the horseman and the horse, and it took me a while to see him. i like the composition and concept, but i think it could benefit from more accents from the light/fire coming from the pumpkin. this way you can separate the horseman from the horse (the glow would shade both differently).

Re: but srsly it's mai pumpkin

It's entertaining how much drama a stupid cat (I mean tiger, my bad) in a pumpkin has caused, and I kinda love the contrast between the multi-paragraph rants against this shirt and the inane "O.M.G. SO CUTE" type comments in its favor.

Obviously I'm pretty new to woot, but I sympathize with the anti-seki faction here. Many people have rightly pointed out that some of the hate is purely spiteful and not supported by facts, but I think that's a reflection of their helplessness to change a system they see as unfair. Sort of a text-based expression of impotent rage. It reminds of me of some of my more liberal friends after George Bush got elected for a second time, except this time the tyranny of the majority is supporting an anime cat-tiger instead of a mentally-handicapped Texan (I'm pretty conservative, but that's objectively true).

Sorry, couldn't help but jump in. And sorry seki, I like alot of your designs ("Music is Life" is why I joined this site to begin with and is still one of my favorites), but this resub is bullsh***, and that's said without any malice or possible competitive jealousy.

Wow, the comments on this are ANGREH! Personally, I don't like this shirt. I would not wear it, and hence, am not voting for it. Yes, it still falls under "similar shirts exist", but that's Woot's problem, not the artist's. And why wouldn't someone take advantage of that? Yeah, it leaps into the vacuum for everyone else, but if Woot is going to play favorites then why wouldn't an artist use that in his/her favor to make more money? And I believe that many other artists would do the exact same thing, given the chance. Of course this isn't about integrity, it's about money, and it's gotten to the point that certain artists don't really care about having the most original ideas or putting the very necessary and important finishing touches on projects. Why would they need to? It's Woot that needs all the anger. If they had fair rules, everyone would have to put their best foot forward. It's easy to slack when the teacher gives you all the extra credit.

*edit* "Leaps into the vacuum" lawl, I didn't realize Woot did that.

so that's why these shirts do so well? because Adder hates them? sorry for him being honest...and quite frankly, he was not the first or only one to attack this shirt. so giving this or any artist a vote simply because Adder tells the truth (that the artist has no reason to be in the fog) is not how the voting system works. or at least, it wasn't meant to work that way.

"zomg, Adder hates it? then i love it. props to the artist! its so cute and adorable and just like every other shirt she's put out, so i absolutely have to get it printed so i can have one"

i'm tired of hearing things like this when there are other designs that deserve to be up at the top ahead of a design that was rejected once already. and i'm not just standing up for Draxxx because his designs and compositions are usually amazing, but for a lot of the other designs out there. designs that are creative. designs that are cute. designs that are original. you can argue as much as you want that this Puss in Pumpkin with Terrible Lighting a new design, but that would mean that i can take a page from a coloring book and color it with some crayons, and it'd be totally legit and completely different than the lineart before colors.

Or maybe most of you aren't around kids much and so aren't familiar with the tastes of 10-year-olds... Obviously this suki character is part of that market. How's your Hannah Montana collection, girl? Oh, and you know what? Cute misspelling can only go so far. You passed that line a long time ago.

And to all of you who voted for this drivel... FOR SHAME!!
