I like this much more than the yeti, yetis are NOT real and as such diminished from the "possibility" of this happening... Everyone knows if polar bears could meet penguins they'd gladly help them fly as they love to eat fish, and well we penguins fish the best! So coming from a penguin himself I will be voting for this shirt and encouraging all my penguin friends to vote for it as well!

A lot of us know that you wouldn't do that on purpose Blam. I don't doubt it. But unfortunately that's not the point. It's apparent that you put a lot of thought in executing it and you're proud of it. That's good, but the crappy thing is that's all irrelevant if the concept has already been done--even if you didn't know it. I know it's hard to let go of it, but once you found out it had been done, the best thing would have been to not submit it. You're a great artist Blam. There will be plenty more opportunities for you do something awesome again and it be all your own.

When I first saw the thumbnail for the I totally thought that this was a view of one of the twin towers from the ground on 9/11. (this may be due to my vicinity to NYC) The full image doesn't show this of course.

Oooh... I definitely like this one better. The colors give me a better feel/sense of water, where I think the other ones, the water color was too bold. Anyways, GMV.

While the execution is a bit different, the underlying concept (using your imagination in a cardboard box) is the same.

Rejection worthy? Meh. Depends on how bad today's hangover is.

Just because similar elements exist... does not mean the artwork was not original.

Eh, it doesnt show flight per se just a kid sitting in a box imagining a bunch of stuff, which is cool, but I went a little different way both content wise and stylistically. If they reject it because they both use cardboard boxes then they have to reject A LOT of other entries because of previously used elements (ie penguins with goggles, flying fish, paper cranes etc). Anyways, thanks for the heads up. Hopefully it'll be ok

Yeah I saw your comments after I had posted and had some time to look at some of the other entries. I was wayy busy this week/end and wasn't able to get something up sooner which I'm bummed about but I'm trying to finish up another comp right now for a new shirt. Let's see if I can get it done fast enough

I like this design. Even if the idea itself has been done, I like this iteration of it. And, if it gets reject, you just need to make the rockets look like tigers.
